I'm actually liking the Wii drought

The major diffrence with nintendo platforms is when there is no 1st party games to play you have to go to the bargin bin. On the ps3 for example you get exclusives but also good 3rd party support. So even if sony does not have a game for you the 3rd parties got you covered. This is why I am a pc gamer 1st there is no shortage of games,mods and people to play online.

Another thing I've noticed is that Nintendo's first party games hardly ever drop in price. If I go into Gamestop I always see games that have been out for over a year still for full price. The bargin bin isn't even that great with Nintendo. Take a look at the SMG games. Still haven't even dropped $10. God of War 3 for PS3 has been out nearly the same time as SMG2 and it can be had for $15

Yeah that is why I bought a ps3 and it had a blu-ray player plus the hard drive could be swapped out in 30 seconds.

Yeah when the wii was in a drought I purchased a crap ton of gamecube games, then went out and bought a ps3. Doesn't make the wii drought any less lame though.

Because the 360 is in the same obat as the Wii right now except the fact that it does have 3rd party support so there are still new games to play for it

The Wii's time is just about over, Skyward Sword will be its swan song. I think the way it was designed, it wasn't meant to last that long anyways.

Maybe you haven't been on SW that long, and just assume everyone is fanboy scum, that is fine. Some people go here for other reasons. People always search all kinds of sites for news and ownage, so SW usually gets stuff really quick info wise. It is also the only place you are allowed to compare systems or talk bad about things you don't like. Every product should have a board where you can bad mouth it, it is our purchase, with our money, we should be able to talk all the smack we want about a product we paid for not living up to our expectations.

Really so he does not like how nintendo does things so now he is a troll right. I must also be a troll then as I also think nintendo is screwing up big time. I voted with my wallet I went out and brought a ps3 and sold my wii. I can tell you that was the best choice I have made and I don't regret it for a second. The ps3 features such as blu-ray and playing dvd's,mp4's mp3 along with the ability to install a 750gb hard drive are great. It also upconverts them to 720/1080p as well. Then you got the games and Sony got ton's of exclusives I can't get on pc. The online is no steam but it gets the job done and it is free unlike live on the 360.

The jump in graphics and sound and game selection moving from the wii to ps3 is massive. I also can buy many older games for 20 usd or less. Unlike nintendo games that seem to be stuck at the same price forever. You can even buy that move stuff if you want not that I want to. So I am now a troll cause I switched from Nintendo to Sony and love it. Oh that is MR TROLL to you sir.

Ok, yeah, it definitely sucks that the Wii line up is so barren this year, but the system is clearly on the way out and a new one is coming out next year, so I don't really have any expectation of anything other than a few titles here and there.

Good thing I have a large backlog and a pretty large list of games I still want to buy. And I also have the 3DS to play and I'll most likely be getting the Wii U next year.

Also, as far as buying 2011 releases, Skyward Sword, Kirby and Rayman Origins will do just fine.

I can't afford to do that though, so it works fine now because I have time to work on my backlog and find hidden gems that I missed out on :)

Since there aren't any new games to buy, I've been buying older Wii and Gamecube games that cost 20 bucks or less. Right now I'm enjoying Super Mario Sunshine, and after that I'll get Okami and Luigi's Mansion. And in the long run it's saving me money since those 3 games cost as much as a new PS3 or 360 game.
