I'll humor you and assume you do have a 360. Your first mistake is playing in some crappy SDTV. Your second mistake is popping in Bioshock or Halo 3 and expecting it to be Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime. This is a big boy's console and it doesn't nerf everything down into friendly cartoon charaters who all happen to be a bunch of mutes. Mario doesn't live on the Xbox, and I'm truly sorry that you miss him so.
Your third mistake is not having any tolerance or patience to acclimate yourself to a completely different gaming experience. You aren't swinging a VCR remote, or shaking it up and down to hit a low-resolution, poor approximation of a tennis ball from the bottom of the screen to the top.
Your fourth mistake is that even if you had any legitimate arguments, you come off so much as a fanboy, you cannot expect anyone who does indeed own both machines simultaneously (like myself) to take you seriously.
wow, GDP72, it looks like you touched a nerve on this guy ... don't press him much harder or he will explode:lol:

It isn't a crappy SDTV, its a good one. And I have the component cables hooked up so it looks nice. I don't care about graphics too much anyways. And I don't expect BioShock to be Mario or Metroid. Too tell you the truth I thought 360 was better than Wii and I had high expectations. I thought it was going to be high production values and amazing graphics and gameplay. But it turned out the games didn't have anything inside of them. It wasn't really about expectations. Super Mario Galaxy is a game with a unique tune orchestrated for nearly every level of the game. With great graphics and the gravity gameplay. BioShock was more like in a confined place all the time with people screaming at me. I'm sorry I don't have a 5.1 surround system with 50inch plasma 1080p TV with good resolution and approximation but at least I had real games.THere are tons of great single player games for the 360 and banjo and fable 2 are coming soon sooo.. idk what your talking about really
dude just get dead rising, mass effect and the orange box, trust me youll like 360

I totally agree.. I loved Bioshock so much... I don't know if I'll ever be compelled to beat it again for some reason, though...Halo 3 has a multiplayer experience that is extremely fun...but the single player is just awful... although I just got Halo recently, I still haven't touched the SP...

Well I can't find a good game that interests me. Assassins creed looks good but its supposed to be repetitve. And mass effect is supposed to be frusterating. The thing I love about Nintendo games is that they pour everything they can into one game and make it almost perfect. It isn't a crappy SDTV, its a good one. I use the Wii for when friends come over and we want to have a party like atmosphere. I didn't enjoy Halo at all. As a matter of fact, in my opinion, it was one of the most boring multiplayer experiences I've ever had although the sungle player wasn't so bad. I'd much rather play COD4 though. GTAIV wasn't all that in my opinion either although I did put many hours into the multiplayer freestyle portion of the game.
If you still want to give the 360 a chance let me make a recommendation. Play awhile, make a few friends that have added your gamertag to their friends list then start playing with them on a regular basis. Then you'll find out why Live is rated so much higher by the majority of users than the others. The only types of games I personally enjoy playing online are shooters but I do own over 50 games for the 360 (And if you're wondering I own just over 10 for the Wii). If you enjoy RPGs for single player you'll enjoy quite a few of the ones on the 360 I'm sure. Even though plenty of them are considered flops by Gamespot SW standards they are still extremely fun to play. Before writing off the system completely try enjoying it first. You may begin to love it if you find the right game and the right friends. If you end up liking it save up your money for a Wii. It may just cost a little bit less in the future.
[QUOTE="DRAGONPIECEZ"]How?You obviously haven't played too many decent single player games. All you do in Halo 3 is go into an area and shoot some monsters. Then they come up with an exuse that something needs to be done or the universe will explode and then the halo theme song rolls. When I finished the game I found nothing memorable about it. A good game leaves you with so many good memories....but the single player is just awful...

[QUOTE="brandontwb"]Wii Speak will probably only be with Friend Codes though...
Basically I have my Wii here but with no games, and it needs to be sold in order to repay someone who helped chiped in for me to buy it, and I need to give him that money back. So basically the Wii means $200. I could do it, but the 360s alright, and you have no idea how much I've returned stuff after buying it. I don't want to buy all my games again, because then that would mean I lost like $200+ buying the 360 in the first place. I liked Wii a lot more but I'm excited for the games coming up even though I don't have it. I'm probably going to kill myself when Zelda Wii comes out but by then hopefully I'll have the money to buy whatever I want.To tell you the truth I'm confused on what I should do. But ifI knew what I know now I would have just kept the Wii....ahh so uncomplicated... I could buy ACWW the conduit, Wii Sports resort. But I'm screwed over. I've been with Wii too long to leave it I guess.
istreakforfood
You said you sold your Wii to buy a 360 earlier.
Since when do did MS or/and Bungie start charging money for Halo pics?
Since I looked at the Halo market place and it said a picture pack was 80 points!!![QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"][QUOTE="DRAGONPIECEZ"]How?You obviously haven't played too many decent single player games. You're right. I am going to play it more with more games. I want all the consoles actually...... but I can't get them all. And I do have friends that I play online with and we make maps in forge and play them it's actually pretty fun. That was the highlight of halo making maps and playing them online. But I think you should try playing the Wii. And I mean actually play it instead of just for parties. Have you bought SMG, MP3, LOZ, Boom Blox, Zack and Wiki, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Strikers Charged, Super smash bros Brawl? I have and played each one to death. That's another thing, there are better multplayer online games for Wii. They aren't all shooters or racers.[QUOTE="VendettaRed07"]Yeah I'm sure there are good games out there for 360 but I just wanted to show express myself :P.[QUOTE="brandontwb"][QUOTE="VendettaRed07"]THere are tons of great single player games for the 360 and banjo and fable 2 are coming soon sooo.. idk what your talking about reallybrandontwb

But yeah ME isnt frustrating at all i find, and The orange box, your bound to like something on there, if its not actually half life, portal or Team Fortress will have you hooked. If you like JRPGs i found Lost Oddessy to be really awesome. Crackdowns ok, if you can find it for like 10$ its worth it XD. GTA4 has a really good single player, so much to do, the story is awesome and if you like sandbox games its like heaven, and the online in that is actually alot better than you would think it would be. If you can handle it Ninja Gaiden 2 is great, but very very hard. Dead rising is just chopping zombie fun and is only like 20$ now so its like a steal, and there is tons upon tons of downloadable stuff like braid and geo wars 2 you should get. Theres lots of stuff

What will giving a gamertag proove? That I can pick someone's gamertag from xbox.com and give it you guys? Here's what you do (if you havnt already) go to your My Xbox page on your profile on Xbox.com, click the Edit Gamercard button and put your GS username as your motto, then tell us your gamertag.
Seeing as you said you have Xbox Live Gold, and that you've played Halo 3 and have beaten the campaign it wont be hard to tell if you're lying or not.

Right there with ya buddy, Halo's story cant be fully appreciated without reading the books (which are awesome) and playing the games in order, its gameplay cant be fully appreciated until you've taken on Legendary and survived. You're also right in that you shouldnt be wasting your time trying to explain these things to a hater because they'll never allow themselves to see past their own bias.
As much as great the Wii is, you can't say some of things (no single player game, only shooters, etc.) about the 360. DRAGONPIECEZ
Wait -- Halo 3 is "generic" but Gears of War isn't? Interesting, then again -- what makes generic "bad" anyways? Is there a such thing as an original FPS anymore? I think not, laddy. Again, you really gave no foundation to what makes Halo 3's campaign "bad" -- you're just throwing out your opinion here and making it look objective. It's not. I for one, hate JRPGs, and consider each game absolute garbage. That's my personal gaming preference, but because I think they're garbage... actually mean the game itself on its respective genre and system, garbage? Absolutely not.
Again, the campaigns in all three games are each very different and each do very great things in each situation so there's no argument of "more of the same" because it's simply NOT the case with the Halo games. Anyways, you again just threw out very vague and unsupported statements which hold no substance.
I already found his GT, he's beaten Halo 3 on normal and has 470 total achievements in it.So have you read my previous post brandontwb, are you ready to prove you have a gamertag by doing what i told you ?
Here's mine, see how easy it is to change your motto, surely you dont mind posting it if it proves that you have a 360? ...

Well I hope you didn't ask for our opinions back when you decided to sell your Wii to get a 360, because you should have done your research first rather then rely on us gamer to assist with your own purchased. All you really need to do is look at the lineup to see if you like it or not, or at least played some game demo at the store to see if you at least like some games before selling your Wii.:?
Oh if you are into action games, you might want to give Ninja Gaiden 2 a rent to see if you like it first.

There is a grand deal of single player games out, whether or not you like them doesn't matter, its the fact there are. I really doubt, you couldn't find something you like. I suggest Dead Riaing as one.

I never played through H1 and H2 so I'm not too sure on the story...but the funny thing is that's one of the things I like about campaign the best...and I'm glad I never spent much time with H1 and H2 because I would probably gripe on how similar they are in terms of campaign....why vs. boring baddies when an experience similar to that of the campaign, but times that by 10, is waiting on XBL... well I guess you can say that that's in my opinion but I know a lot of others that have said the Halo 3 campaign was underwhelming...oh and I would like to add co-op makes campaign a little bit funner too

Yeah but ALL you do is shooting. I guess if you like only shooing stuff then thats cool. But you should try beating super mario galaxy, twilight princess and metroid prime 3.[QUOTE="brandontwb"]Halo's 3's story is pretty good but the actual game itself, for me at least, is GARBAGE. I tried it on normal and it challenged me enough, I died several times. But when look back on Halo 3 all I see is the same thing. Shooting in an area. When I look back at say.... twilight princess, there almost too much for me too remember. All the clever ideas and puzzles with music and gameplay, and all the unique levels and dungeons................it reminds me of how I need to buy that game again...........ahhhhh. I gave it all up for something I thought xbox had. I'll try some more games but I'm not too interested for far.Stevo_the_gamer

not quite shure how to respond to this....it will turn into an opinion vs. opinion argument anyway...well generic makes it bad because it doesn't feel fresh or new. Halo 3 has happened before..it was called Halo 1 and Halo 2... and I know that I'm throwing out opinions...hence why I said "IMO" about 2 times in my previous post.. and you saying that Halo 3 "isn't the same thing" is your opinion too, so don't be a hippocrite ...but I damn well know there were many many people who did not enjoy the campaign... I mean who really was blown away by the campaign? and no Gears of War isn't generic at all...it was a competely fresh new shooter unlike anything that has ever been seen...please tell me what specific details make Halo 3 so original...what makes it so original from the first two, and what makes it so original as an FPS..what was so new about the campaign mode from the first 2?......the run...shoot...pick up new gun...grenade...gun butt....no other defense but jumping? WTH? I will tell you right now, you have to be blind to think Halo isn't "more of the same"...now is it a bad thing in the campaign yes...multiplayer no because it's just plain fun ... (once again, the last sentence was IMO)... you think all JRPGs are garbage? okay I respect that, you don't like the genre...so respect my opinion when I say the Halo 3 campaign is garbage...(I think that's fair right? I'll respect your opinion on a genre as a whole and all you have to do is accept my opinion on a sub-section of a single game?)

They aren't all shooters or racers. brandontwbI have MP3 and I don't like it much. I find it much the same as Halo is. MY game of choice is COD4 for online. Either that or Rock Band. I'm completely tired of Mario as I've played his games many times over in the past and I feel he is just beaten to death and while SMG and Mario Kart may be good in my opinion there are better games out there. For racing I prefer Need for Speed and I'm not a big baseball/soccer/football fan. I havent taken a close look at Zack and Wiki and I'm not really into fighting games. (Although I do have DOA4), I spend most of my singular time on the Wii playing LOZ or various Sims games or Smarty Pants when friends are over. The 360 is more my style of gameplay I enjoy. However next month I'll be getting a gaming computer so chances are my 360 will be hanging up the majority of its time to games like Crysis, The Witcher, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, The Sims 3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
The main reason I like the Wii is because of Nintendo. It's just might be the fact that I'm hooked on Nintendo games..... I need them!!!!!!! Xbox doesn't have any single player games that interest me, I don't really like GTA single player games, they are more of a chore to me. I simply can't find any single player games that interest me.[QUOTE="brandontwb"][QUOTE="ArisShadows"]As much as great the Wii is, you can't say some of things (no single player game, only shooters, etc.) about the 360. You simply making a mockery out of yourself by those untruths.ArisShadows
There is a grand deal of single player games out, whether or not you like them doesn't matter, its the fact there are. I really doubt, you couldn't find something you like. I suggest Dead Riaing as one.
Anyways, if such games were so important to you, you wouldn't have sold it.
They were really important. But I kind of lost sight of what I wanted. Kind of like an impulse. I have to learn to stop! Dead Rising looks incredibely boring.[QUOTE="brandontwb"]Yeah but ALL you do is shooting. I guess if you like only shooing stuff then thats cool. its a shooter what did you expect? super smash halo?
Dead Rising looks incredibely boring.brandontwbYou're incredibly wrong. You don't just go around killing Zombies. You have to save people. That is your main goal. And you also have to take out a few people as well while killing zombies with everythign you can think of. It's actually quite humorous when you aren't frantically trying to run away from a vast swarm of zombies because your umbrella just broke.

Give it a rest, lad. You're letting your Pro-Wii attitude cloud your reason, I already knew you were biased -- simply trying to troll by creating this thread; thus why I questioned if you owned a Xbox 360.

Dead Rising is a superb game. My 960 gamerpoints score shows my dedication to this game.
how can you like wii but not 360? :| you probably a big nintendo fanboy and if you playon something that isnt made by nintendo you wont like it. 360 makes wii look like a joke, and every real gamer knows wii is a joke after you complete few good games on itmingo123Wii isn't a joke. If you look at all the crappy games and young people playing it, it is. But Wii has some really good games on it. I'm not a nintendo fanboy but I really like Nintendo games, and I'm sure you would too if you actually beat one.
