Every "console graphics king" coming out next year all look like they're on the same level. Crysis 2 on PC will blow them away. AAllxxjjnn

Rage(PC), The Witcher 2, and Shogun 2 look pretty slick as well.

I'm pretty sure the developers said they are using the Oblivion/FO3 engine, just a new improved generation of it....not a new engine entirely,and notid tech 5.

its definately shaping up nicely.. however it has quite some competition.. I believe KZ3, The last Guardian & UC3 will look equally amazing & possibly even better..

You're(arguably) right on the lighting and maybe post processing though.

But the lighting/graphics/detail in UC3 looks noticeably much better than Gears 3.

And they both still have an entire year left for more polishing. But as of now, Naughty Dog even in early alpha stage, manages to make UC3 look much better than Gears 3. If anything, its an indication that they will indefinetly follow the same trend and UC3 will be superior to Gears 3 in the graphics department.

That's a crap reason to dismiss it. The Uncharted games still look better than the Gears of War games.

Ciffy.B has gone on record saying he is going to destroy UC2 graphics with Gears 3. And within the past week UC2 developers confimred UC3 is the same graphics as UC2 with game play tweaks.

Kiffie bee also likes to release bullshots and claim it to be real gameplay, while in reality it looks like a weaker gimped bantam of Uncharted 2.

Gears 3 looks like a polsihed souped up uncharted 1, with slightly weaker animation.

i dont like uncharted's motion captured animation one bit, the controls are too inaccurate it's got like a movement delay and drake doesnt really move where u point to with analog and he moves too much overshoots stuff.

Mormonman are you gonna do this every time? Make a thread and then be dismissed but then start a weaker claim "bu bu but Uncharted 2 is the same engine with tweaks" - That doesn't qualify as an argument against Uncharted 3... Gears 1 uses Unreal Engine... An ancient engine and yet Gears 3 still uses it... It's just even dustier now though :lol: You may call Uncharted 3 by the name of Uncharted 2.5 but Gears of war 3 officially uses Unreal Engine 3.5 :lol: And no i'm not beating down Gears 3 as i also want it i'm just beating down the claims that; same engine = bad.

now listen... This isn't about ps3 vs. 360 in power. (they're pretty much even) I was just saying Gears of war 3 won't make it because it's just the unreal engine 3 (which is impressive, it just can't squeeze out a CGK) Crysis 2, and RAGE, will both be on the 360, and are top contendors. You shouldn't count those games out just because they aren't exclusive, We're getting them too :)

Also, don't get me wrong, you should never count out naughty dog. UC3 is a huge contendor as well. Killzone 3 too.

As a huge Uncharted fanboy I don't think I would have missed either of those quotes. For the record, Naughty Dog showed footage of a game that isn't going to release for 11 months. They showed footage of a game that is half done. It won't look twice as good, I know it won't, in fact, they said the jump would be there but not as big. It will be a fantastic looking game, even better than two. As for Gears 3, I don't like to jump on the bullshots train but... bullshots.
