In 20+ years of gaming, i have never seen such a failure as the PS3

When I got there, it was packed, so I got a drink and stood by the dancefloor for about 2 hours. there were AAA girls everywhere LOL!!! A couple AAAA ones!!!!! LOLLOL. I didn't like the music very much, but the girls were dancing crazy- tipsy's is a crazy place, and this is the first time i ever went there. i saw a girl next to me looking at me, so I asked if she watned a drink and she said yes so we went to the bar. it was so loud when I asked her her name she didn't answer but she smiled. I got her a long island iced tea and she walked away with it. She was true AAA material. But she was really busy afterwards and couldn't talk to me. I went home later and PWN3D some noobs on R6 Vegas for a couple hours LOL.

also, I didn't own the 3DO, Jaguar, etc because they all sucked. I only bought the major consoles. PS3 is a major console, and definitely the most major console to flop in history.

Sony is just a electronics company that wants to succeed in other areas, even gaming. They will never be as reconized in gaming as the are in TVs, and Computers.

Microsoft could be the same way, and the whole red ring of death isn't helping but at least they have the whole Windows connection. Microsoft has helped bring great games to PCs, and consoles for decades.

Nintendo constantly tries to give consumers fun games, be it Metroid Prime, Chrono Cross, or Big Brain Academy.

Its weird fun to you but great fun to another. Nintendo is always trying new things with their tech and their franchises.

The virtual boy and power glove were huge risks. The Wiimote and DS are another.

Wind Waker's art style was a risk, so was Majora's Mask, Manhunt 2, and Super Mario Galaxy.

They took the risk of not adopting online gaming sooner, so what? They at least give you the impression that they give a crap about the consumer instead of refurbishing your 360 with another doomed one and waging a format war when all you really want is really good games.

PS3 isn't a failure but it won't win this gen. It can't.

Not selling at the same rate as the GameCube, not after the two generation jinx, and not trailing in Japan.

Didn't the 360 outsell the PS3 in japan last week or something? Yeah, is that more of a statement about how bad the PS3 is doing or how good the 360 is?

Fun is what its all about, and I for one would find all of Sony's exclusive franchises just as fun on the 360 or Wii.

R&C would be cool on 360/Wii, God of War wouldn't change on 360, Jak& Daxter, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy would all be good fits on the Wii or 360.

at least halo is pretty much molded around the xbox controller and i would never touch a console that could play metroid, mario, zelda with any words other than Nintendo on it.

And at least you can't do any Wii games on other systems. Because of the motion controls y'know?

Trauma Center, Cooking Mama, Metroid Prime 3 would be a huge step down with a PS3/360 controller.

And Manhunt 2 is loads more fun on the Wii anyway.

I don't believe one word you just said, mostly because you fail to realize that 3DO, Atari 2600 (or whichever one it was.) Saturn, Dreamcast, Neo Geo, N-Gage, and a lot of other systems were a lot worse. PS3 at least has potentional, and some good games.

You act as if "fun" is a quantity that can be measured objectively.

Fun is different for everyone. Fun, for me, is coming home from a long day at work, reclining in my La-Z-Boy and twiddling my thumbs on a joypad. If I wanted to stand up and swing a tennis racket, I would go to the tennis court and play a real game. I'm not saying Wii isn't fun, or that Wii sports isn't cool, but you have to know that "fun" is a totally subjective opinion.

Yes, the predicted time frame of both the 360 and ps3 are around 2015. I don't think it will last that long, but a long time. I mean, the ps2 lasted close to 5 years (correct me if I'm wrong).

So do you mean that the Virtual boy, Sega CD, 32X, 3DO, almost Neptune were not meant to be big hitters? The companies just made them so they could flop? Let me answer that for you; No. They also thought that their consoles would take the market. Aside from that, the PS3 isn't failing anyway.
