yeah it has been a slow period, mainly because many devs didn't want to polish their games up in order to push towards an AAA rating instead of AA. (I'm looking at you Creative Ensemble!)
So anything Less than AAA and all Multiplatforms that usually are better on Pc dont matter now? Also the PC last 12 months has more AAE games than 360 and PS3 combined same goes for AE And what about Sims and Wow you might not like it but still there are alot of people that like that games and like or not they are AAA games By your logic the only games in 360 is a Halo expansion and 2 GTA4 expansion
There were several 8.5 games like Empire:TW, DoW2 and Anno though that on a better day could have been AAA as well so it's not quite as bad as it seems.
I was only wondering because PC Gamers think they have the best games but what recent games have they got that compete with the games only found on consoles, like Halo ODST, MGS4, Uncharted 2, etc.. Oh wow they have slightly better graphics on multiplats.. That justifies the $2000+ price tag of their gaming pc!

Nahh you are wrong its $5000 rigs and we have to upgrade every month and every game is buggy as hell
Anyway most AAAE , AAE and AE this gen alone and full Bc all the way back to the 80's and $10-20 cheaper games and free mods and better multiplats and better hardware and dirt cheap hardware the last 2-3 years tell how great pc gaming is
I don't need Gamespot AAAEs to enjoy a game on PC. While its been a little slow, I've had a lot of fun with some PC exclusives this year that didn't get AAA .
It doesn't help that Gamespot are way behind on their PC reviews, either.Planeforger

Yep, but things like mods allow us to go back and play games almost infinitely. Look to any Half-Life 2 mod, STALKER mod etc. This is just an example though.
I'm playing Dragon Age Origins on my PC right now, you know, a multiplat.
$2000 on a PC. What do you think we build there TC, supercomputers? Try $600 for a medium rig, which'll run pretty much all PC games at good resolutions.

Most of the games I do buy are AAA. And most of the games I buy are also Exclusives. There are over 20 AAA titles for the PS3, 360, and PC. Most of those should satisfy you.

Well anyone who only considers AAAE they would be playing around 3-4 titles a year most of the time (and that too only if they enjoy all the genres equally)
What about the Wii? I haven't heard of a single AAAE from the last 12 months, but the exclusives certainly more than make up for it. Plenty of niche titles that would've never made it on the PS360 would be on the Wii. It's also arguable that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Wii plays more like a AAAE than most titles on the market.

I'll say some PC exclusives, it's hard to have a PC exclusive that is at the same time an AAA title, those are casual, like Sims 3 and WoW. But you know, Cryostasis (which has already reached gold), Call Of Prypiat which has already reached gold, and still hasn't been released in the USA, Dawn Of War 2 (I don't know about the sales on this one, but they were high), ARMA 2 went gold, and it's still selling many copies, Risen has gone gold though it's a multiplat, but the PC version is way better, Anno 1404 sold 770000 copies., Drakensang went platinum I think, and Zeno Clash, which was made by a totally unknown chilean developer called ACE team also went gold. Not AAA titles, not multiplat, but we still have strong sales.
You are now aware of the fact that game scores given by "professional" reviewers on "professional" review sites mean nothing but how much mainstream appeal the game has.
I've enjoyed dozens of AA and A, and even games below that score. And why do games have to be exclusive btw? Pretty much every exclusive this gen is PAID BY THE COMPANY THAT OWNS THE CONSOLE IN QUESTION. Nobody owns PC gaming, nobody pays devs to make PC exclusive games, yet they are still being made. This makes consoles look kind of... pathetic. In the past they had tons of exclusives, but these days the development costs for "AAA" games are so damn high, that the only way to make a exclusive and make profit is if the console owner pays the devs for it.
The AAAE console exclusives are much better than the 2 PC AAAEs

Have fun playing that expansion pack disguised as a game (Halo ODST), I think my "special" pre-teen cousin enjoys that POS. BTW PS3 only has 3, you should probably learn how to count.

Well Pc gamers can brag because they are able play 14 AA + excluisves which is 3-4 times more than what I can say for PS3/360 :lol:
So lets get down to the facts and end this PS3: 3 AAAE Xbox360 3 AAAE PC 2 AAAE .... 1 difference, wether you like Sims 3 or WoW or not (both more popular than the counter-part exclusives that have come out on ps3/360. "WoW expansiion :lol: " is much bigger than Halo 3 ODST / Uncharted 2 mate. and then the PC has 14 AAE's .... You royally owned yourself with this thread.
