because it's open source, anyone can develop for it and it doesn't have a defined lifespan..I would hope it has more than consoles that have a handful of devs and a limited time frame. :roll:and despite that it still has more high scoring exclusives this generation than all three consoles combined.

dont look at the excuses/reasons, just look at the result, which in turn counts for gamers.

Shattered Horizon is fun... and it looks great, it's still not reviewed by gamespot, but I don't expect less then AAE status.

Use some common sense please. If the PC gets 15-20+ games over consoles per year because of reasons listed above, do you not think its reasonable to expect there to be more of a chance that some of them score high? Again..common sense..[QUOTE="dontshackzmii"]

How is this a hard concept? It's simple probability. Rather, given the title of this thread in SW, some people are just pointing out a good point of PC that is max number of AAAEs.
I'd rather have Empire: Total War than any AAAE on the consoles within the past year.Stevo_the_gamer
Really?
That game was released in a semi-finished state, even after numerous patches problems still persist and as a finally slap in the face CA have dropped support for the game.
We were just beta-testers!

Medieval 2 had the same issues yet was still a blast for me to play. Don't get me wrong the game is absolutely epic, moreso than just about any game on a console but it had too many issues for me to fully enjoy and is still in a far from finished state even now. :(

Yet this year the system with the least amount of games has the most highly rated games and the two systems that have tonnes of games have the least amount. PS3-4 AAAE 360-3 AAAE PC-2 AAAE Wii-0 AAAE weren't lemming saying PS3 couldn't have won with only 1 more AAAE? Yet the TC is a lemming and claiming PC had no good games.Nah Medieval never had as many issues. And it definetly never shipped in the same half-ass state that ETW did imo.

Nah? Woah. You didn't get the game at launch then because it was definitely broken in some areas, yet I've put over 200 hours into it. And I'll still throw the game in once in a while to play some. I wouldn't call Empire "half-assed", the damn game did plenty well; rest assured, the game sure had its issues but the pros far outweighed the cons for me. But again, when you have a game as BIG as Empire, such issues are bound to occur. You should glad that CA has been working deligently to fix those issues with all these patches.

The game still isn't fully fixed and now CA have dropped support for the game.

Umm, you apparently forgot to take the Wii into account while saying this. Thus, your point is invalid.Thats my point thoughOf course it's not fully fixed, no game out there is "fully fixed". Ok I admit I was wrong they aren't dropping support right away,(heard that rumour from someone, should've verified it)but the state the game was released in and the problems that still persist I think its laughable that official support will effectively cease in a few months time.
I paid alot of money for this game,I thought that 9 months on from release it would be free from the bugs and glitches that plagued it from the beginning and they would've been sorted by now.I thought CA would have bust a gut to get it right but they havent. Its cool that you obviously love the game and can ignore these flaws but I can't,especially when I hand my hard earned money over for an unfinished game.
Let me tell you I think its a really good game, but for one reason or another its just a crying shame it never reached the heights that it could have,
Well I might as well pack it in, Gamespot not reviewing my PC games? No point to it anymore. YandereThe staff is badly understaffed when it comes to reviews, and why just go by Gamespot when you can go for Metacritic or Gamerankings?

I was just being sarcastic, I don't care about reviews, the PC is a great system.
Are we forgetting something .. oh yeah AAE, Pc had 13 this year, and PS 3 - 1  and 360 - 0

Are you serious? That's sad.
Consoles = pwned.
PS: To the OP, PC users get the real version of Dragon Age: Origins, 2009's Game of the Year.
I was only wondering because PC Gamers think they have the best games but what recent games have they got that compete with the games only found on consoles, like Halo ODST, MGS4, Uncharted 2, etc.. Oh wow they have slightly better graphics on multiplats.. That justifies the $2000+ price tag of their gaming pc!KingBungie
This is the true Topic post. PC gamers frankly don't really care about AAAE's as console gamers do. They play the games they find that fill their interests such as, Arma 2, which is a military simulator and is damn good one at that. Also PC gamers haven't got bored with old games like COD4 because of all the mods and custom maps that are churned out constantly.
I'd be interested in knowing how many AAA\AA exclusives consoles have received after you take away all the Sony/Microsoft bough exclusives.
The number of games that 'choose' to be exclusive to a system is a good indication of the platforms strength within the games market. If console users are going to be critical of the number of 3rd party PC exclusives; then perhaps they should count their own 3rd party exclusives?
Either way, as a whole PC still has a significant lead this generation.
