In your opinion, which Call of Duty is the best?

Imo, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is probably the best. The campaign was amazing and the multiplayer was a dream come true. Black Ops is a strong contender though, loved the campaign and the multiplayer was a hellova improvement from Modern Warfare 2. What about you, SW? :)

World at War is still my favorite. Great campaign and the most balanced multiplayer the series has seen still. Also, I'm a sucker for WW2 weapons.

COD4 has aged the best, I can see it still being played like CSS. CODMW2, I doubt will be held on for long due to it's p2p based servers. Currently I'm liking Black Ops quite a bit and the FAMAS RAWKS

That all suck. When a new one comes out, the old one gets abandoned by the devs, leaving mostly hackers playing online. Also, they all use the same crap P2P code, so the online isn't even good when it has support.

The SP campaigns don't even measure up to the lamest of SP focused games.

CoD 4. It was actually balanced to an extent and had a great SP.

CoD2 is still my favourite.

Call of duty 4 on the PC... talking about online, sp they are all about the same.

First Call of Duty, it was realistic enough without being to realistic and just arcadey enough without being too arcardey; it was in a sense what Call of Duty should be. Now it just seems like Infinity Ward dropped the semi-realism approach and just went full on arcade shooter.

same as every other call of duty. although I do think it should take a HS to kill in one bullet. but then the other guns would have to take more than one to balance it out.

Campaign: COD1 tie with COD2.

Multiplayer: COD4.

Overall impact(best): COD4. Really it defined console shooters for a generation.

The single player D-day mission from COD 2 was the first thing I ever experienced on an HD console. Blew my mind..

Call of Duty 2 had far and away the best single-player in my opinion. Call of Duty 4 was the last I bought before I got bored of the series, and its multiplayer was really good.

I grew bored of CoD after United Offensive, spent too much time on the multiplayer. Then I next played CoD 4 SP, MP for a short while (lvl 30 something) and stopped.
