Alot of ugly images for MGS4, these are some I've took a while ago.

I hope that will do, Im not saying MGS4 > Crysis because it is a big NO for me but Im just saying people here doesn't post good images lol.

However, MGS4 graphically is the best on consoles imho.

Nice Pics. That's the reason I don't like these type of threads, because TC's rarely go out of their way to look for good pics of games they bash.

What is Gamespot trying to pull? I really want to know. Can we get an editor to comment on this or something? It's evident Gamespot doesn't have a single gaming PC in their offices. Just look at the Left 4 Dead screenshots they put up. Gamespot, we know you've jumped on the console wagon many years ago. But can you atleast humor us hermits? What can they even say? GameSpot does throw us a bone occasionally, they're just not very good at it.

For example did you see the PC Vs console comparison over in the PC section? They showed PC looks better; but completely screwed up the demonstration by making it look like a state of the art PC was needed to do the job.

They used a PC with a 280GTX and other equivalent components (reinforcing the mentality that 2k+ PCs are needed to beat consoles) at 1920x1200 Vs consoles; then they downscaled and cropped the comparison shots to the same as the console ones, enough said.

hey I got a crazy idea, maybe crysis warhead didn't win because Crysis came out last year, and it wasn't as impressive because crysis had already done those graphcs last year.-Mad_Rhetoric-

Still doesnt matter man, if you have crysis warhead and mgs4 on at the sametime next to each other, its not even close.

I own both games, but Crysis warhead destroys it. Who cares when Crysis came out, Crysis Warhead and Crysis both are still the best looking graphics technically out at the moment. Its not an opinion, its a fact and gamestop made a mistake.

I personally enjoy MGS4 more then Crysis Warhead, but as far as graphics go its obvious as hell to me which is better graphically.

Oh cmon, you chose the worst possible MGS4 picture and the best possible Crysis Warhead picture, although I do agree Crysis looks better(On very high though, looks nowhere near as good as MGS4 on low-medium, about the same on high) MGS4 looks much better than that picture and comparable to Crysis. Especially with all the details in MGS4, shoot locker doors they come off, tiles move, bloom effects, etc.urdead18

Well, that's one of the worst Crysis Warhead screens I've ever seen, so that alone proves you've never played the game. Even on high setting Crysis Warhead blows MGSIV out of the water graphically. There is nothing graphically in MGSIV that's comparable to Crysis Warhead, because Crysis is just too far ahead graphically. Also, there are far more of those 'details' in Crysis than in MGSIV.

The picture in the original Post is from 2006.

The full retail Version we have today doesnt Look like that.

the last i remember, the ingame camera that you can use to take pics (first or 3rd person mode) adds a water mark to the pic.

I can't stop laughing. That MGS4 pic in the OP is infamous here. People have been using that 1 horrible shot for years to put down mgs4. That shot was released at TGS '06. I swear to god tomorow, if i dont forget, I am going to go to that part in the game and take a screenshot and post it here so we can compare. This has nothing to do with hardware or the original Crysis wouldn't have won, as it was even worse looking on lower spec computers.

GS just decided MGS should win, simple. There is no need to defend them. Or attack them. They just felt like it.

I have to agree. I have seen several games that I thought looked better. And technically, I think GTAV outshines MGS4 big time. The level of detail in everything in GTAV and all the things you can do, plus much better multiplayer modes makes GTAV a much better pick IMO. Texture and graphics wise, Ive seen LOTS of games that looked better
