Infamous dated for June 2009

We know many of you have been wondering when urban hero Cole McGrath and his electrifying arsenal of superpowers is coming to a town near you. Well, we want to share with you today that inFamous will be launching worldwide this June, and here's a first look at the front-of-box for the title:

Another question many of you have been asking is: will there be a demo? And, the answer is yes. We'll have more details on when and how the demo will be available shortly. Seems that Sony is doing a good job scattering the big titles this year. Keeps the playing going, in my opinion.

This title is promising but I'm not sure how excited I should be yet, if at all. You?

Oh hell yeah. Other than Heavy Rain, inFAMOUS is the other PS3 exclusive I want the most.

There hasint been any real offical hype for this game. Im personaly hyping at least an 8. I cant wait for this game. I like the boxart,but it may change.

just reading about it and looking at it i say it is a low AA. 7.5 - 8.0 is what i see

Overall hype has been AA.

Although, I'm gonna say it'll be a 9.0. Best believe it. This and Heavy Rain will surprise people, methinks.

It doesn't really bother me :P I am so backed up on games that I need a small breather. I had my fun last year, this year cows can have their fun!

Overall hype has been AA.

Although, I'm gonna say it'll be a 9.0. Best believe it. This and Heavy Rain will surprise people, methinks.

Edit: Upon reflection, Ninja Blade must be an import. Honestly I liked the piracy idea better than the idea that anyone bought Onechanbara retail. :P

I am going to wait-and-see with inFamous. I am wary of sandbox games this gen. Assassin's Creed, GTA4, Crackdown... really the only one that lived up to its potential is Saints Row 2. InFamous looks like it could be a ton of fun, but its all going to depend on how cool the world itself is to just mess around in. If it has tight controls, a solid framerate, and some cool stuff to do outside the story, I will definitely buy it. jjenkins78x

I agree. But the tough thing for any developer on that point is that GTA did it best and has now overplayed it. Not too sure how many vehicles or weapons you'll be able to touch in InFamous. So, what do they do to add things to mess around with? Not saying its impossible, just hard to do. I think of myself as fairly creative and nothing comes to my mind at the moment. But, of course, I did see Mary Jane today.

Lol! Please don't judge me. And yes, I buy them. I buy what I want. I judge games from my experience, not from others. Thank goodness for real gamers with their own opinions. I'm financially stable, so I don't need to steal ****.

Zipper doesn't have to do it better than GTA, they just have to do it well. Saints Row 2, to me (and to Yahtzee!) while far from being original, is the best sandbox game this gen because of all the random, varied crap you can do. As long as the city feels alive, I will get into it. If Saints Row can do it, so can this game. The only thing left to do is wait and see if it turns out well.

Don't get all sensitive about it, I just can't believe anyone would buy Onechanbara, let alone announce it. :P Don't need to throw that "I decide what I like for myself' nonsense at me either. I'm all for swimming upstream, but not just for the sake of it. There needs to be some substance there that I just suspect Onechanbara (38.44% avg on GR) lacks. In my opinion, buying horrible games doesn't make you a "real gamer", it makes you part of the problem.

I guess you can callinfamous crackdown execpt this has cool powers,character devlopment,a actualy story and cool bosses and enimies. Dont get me wrong i love crackdown and hope for a sequal,but these two are nothing alike besides the open world part.

Lemmings arent counting Star Ocean 4's 7.5 as a flop even though they flung that game around on 2009 lists over and over and still claim its great....I dont understand hyping games 7.0-7.5, seems silly to me also

Hell the bosses were just a goon with more health. Yea those were the 3 best on PS2. Your acting like being 3rd in the 3 best platformers on ps2 is a bad thing. It doesint take away from its awesomeness.
