"treating it as a 360 exclusive" or, maybe people were using Prototype to make Infamous look like it wasn't worth the hype (back before Infamous came out), and now that it's looking like the opposite is true, then the ones that tried to hype Prototype as better than inFamous are getting owned now.. (silly.. i know. "ownage" psh.) and maybe it just so happens that the majority of people hyping prototype were 360 fanboys, jealous that they couldn't have both, so they felt the need to bash inFamous till the score came out. It's silly to say one game "won" over the other, but it's entirely feasible to say one scored higher, and therefore is going to turn out to be a "better" game (better is a relative and moot term). My question is, why are some people so upset about people bringing this up? Feeling.. ."owned"? or.. what? I personally don't care, neither game really excited me all that much anyway. but it's funny how people are quick to call out other fanboys, and make it sound like they are some kind of seeker of justice, when in fact, they are just being fanboys themselves. Let's face it. Odds are, if you clicked on a link that said "SYSTEM WARS", you're probably a fanboy of some sort, even if you don't want to admit it, just posting here was proof enough. We're all fanboys here, some, more than others.. sure, but fanboys all the same.0rin

I've been reading from a few people who have the game and the graphics are ugly as hell they say.

It get's 7.5 Compare to Infamous who get 9.2 at IGN, everybody knows that Infamous is much better than Prototype Face it, Wii-owners, NO WII EXCLUSIVE has scored "Editor's Choice" on Gamespot this year!! 360? Well....erm.......it has no games Infamous is the proof that PS3 exclusive can't be killed by multiplatform games!! Soon, PS3 will beat 360 and Wii, I believe in Sonyihsanqueen

I only quoted this to agree on the sims, such a great game that brought me back to the series.

On topic i agree with all the people viciously saying I TOLD YOU SO, because i did in fact tell you so. It has a awesome concept, but it is porley executed, making it self a generic game that is decent at best, like mercs 2. You can see this from watching any of the gameplay vids.

I also saw something on TV about it and it looked like an original Xbox title/Wii title (in terms of graphical detail).

I've been trying to explain this to people, Vids just don't convey how a game plays. You can't experience a game through a vid, you can only imagine it.

Companies know that if you slap a "M" Rating, show some sweet gore/action, it will entice a certain number of people.

It's all about the actual reviews, and even much better, actual PLAYTIME with the full games, not demos. :)

This is stupid. Since when does IGN alone determine whether a game is good or not? Really the only sources that hold ANY weight on SW are Gamespot of course (number 1), followed by metacritic and gamerankings. In fact, every other site I have seen has given it at least a 9/10. Yawn, save the discussion for after GS reviews it, because IGN means squat (IGN gave Assassin's Creed a 7.5 and No More Heroes a 7.8 while GS gave both a 9. They don't always agree). Then if the game flops on GS, do this whole thing, but otherwise, just grow up.mynameisdumb

i dont undestand this thread... there really is no need to proclaim a winner... sure the 2 titles having much in common and being of the same genre one can accept the fact they'll be compared but for PS3 owners shouldnt matter since they can get both..

If only I could afford to buy a $400 PS3.... And IGN giving it such a low score is bad, because almost all the time IGN is in the middle of the scoring range and is one of the more trustworthy of reviewing sites, or at least I have pretty much agreed with all their reviews of games I've played.

Where at? What does not selling well have to do with anything with being a great game?

Prototype had the better concept of a superhero sandbox game that just failed to execute. inFamous did.
