Why is everyone saying the reviews aren't bad when they said R&C Quest for Booty flopped? I like both games I'm just wonderingmgkennedy5

Meh doesn't really mean much too a jrpg fan because the problem is a lot of reviewers just don't enjoy the genre so the review is unbalanced. Likewise if a big jrpg fan were too review the games I am sure all objectivity would go out the window :?. As for score compared to blue dragon you can't really compare games reviewed a year previously to present scores, imagine comparing Perfect Dark to Bioshock which it outscored :|.SapSacPrime

I though Gamespot reviews only matters in SystemWars, so all IU had to do is score a 7.5 (a score that Disgaea 3 got robbed on) to be "better" than Disgaea 3. ToV already got a better score at 8.5.

But we can use metacritic to say that Disgaea 3 is better than ToV and IU, but that also means Halo 3=MGS 4

Well on Metacritic MGS4=Halo 3. But with Gamerankings Halo 3>MGS 4,

Also IU and ToV were hyped that much. I don't think they have an offical hype topic about them.

Also SJRPGs and JRPGS are vastly different from each other, you can't really compare the two. In terms of SJRPGs the PS3 has the edge over the 360 games like Spectral Force 3 (although Spectral Force 3 was alright). I can't wait for more infomation on that game NIS is planning on making for the 360.

On this side of the ocean, SRPGs, being TBS's almost always, don't get a lot of traction. I mean, it took years for a Fire Emblem game (which franchise has been in existence for well over a decade) to finally officially hit stateside. We're more into the faster pace of RTS's in the west.
