That's exactly my point. Hacking is gonna happen regardless of what system you had, but if PC gamers had dedicated servers they'd be able to ban people instantly, instead of waiting weeks for VAC to ban them (if they catch them in the first place).GiantMuffin

Yeah the "hack/cheat free games" supposedly provided by IWnet is just a bunch of vapid PR BS. One step forward and two steps back. In the short term there is nothing whatsoever anyone can do to avoid or get rid of hackers and griefers. Other than to just leave the game. For griefers there's no long term solution either.

Are you serious? Go on IW forums and see for yourself. Thats PRECISELY the reason nobody wants it on PC. There are TONS of people who aren't getting MW2 because of that, PC owners who did get the game are now complaining about how bad the matchmaking is and hackers and people who are injecting viruses to other players through matches. I'd bet more money that atleast 75% of the people who did buy MW2 on PC are regretting their purchase.

Imagine if IW took away STANDARD features from the console versions, like clan tags, or trophies/achievements, or rumble, etc. Dedicated servers is a standard feature of PC FPS' and there's literally no reason for it to have been taken away other than cutting costs or laziness.

Poor sales may give the opposite effect, and there simply won't be a PC version next time.

What's the difference? Infinity Wards sold out a long time ago and have already gave up on PC gamers, the very same people who helped jumpstart the first Call of Duty.

Excuse me? Where did I state I dislike the game? True, I don't plan on buying it as I already have my multiplayer fix with Team Fortress 2, and I am not spending £35 on a 4 hour campaign. But I never said anything about hating the game.

Wow you know it's hilarious, it was because people were against EA last gen that they finally cut the crap and started making quality games this gen. If you think it's just a thing to be *cool* then I don't know what to say. When people talk with their actions and wallets it affects companies more than words could ever do. EA has learned this lesson very well.
