Infinity Ward vs TreyArch. Who is the king of the FPS genre?

I vote Trey Arch. Overall I find their games to be the more complete package. They have decent lenght campaigns and solid MP. IW/Seldge make really short campaigns, the MP is solid but not as balanced as Trey Arch's I find (the side arms in MW are a bit over powered. A shot gun as a side arm? Lol what?)

IW is better in every way... BO and WaW were terrible, both campaign and multiplayer.

Call of Duty 1 and 2 were the only really impressive Call of Duty's and they were both made by Infinity Ward. However they arent the king.

Out of those 2 choices, I'd say Infinity Ward based solely on the fact they made CoD4 which IMO was the best. However, overall I'd probably lean more toward DICE because of how much I personally enjoy the Battlefield series.

Do not challenge the king. COD is number 1 for a reason. It owns every other shooter out there. Black Ops 2 will be the best shooter this year. Guranteed.

I look around. BF, Halo 4, Far Cry 3 etc....they all look like COD wannabe's. But they can't be the best, they can't take it's crown away.

And Black Ops 2 is making several changes to the series.

Someone is jealous that they don't have an awesome job where they can multitask and get money to be able to afford a PS3 and friends to play COD with it seems.

I'm too harcore for CoD and girls.

To me they are the most complete package, best online shooters by far. SP wise Bioshock 1 is the best, COD games have good SP too except the MW one's are too short.

Treyarch is the better of the two, but neither developer is any near to bing the king of the FPS genre.

The title is an obvious way to rile people up, but for whoever makes the better CoD, I'd say its Treyarch. Infinity Ward isn't the same Infinity Ward that made the amazing early Call of Duty titles, and Treyarch could be said to have highly evolved and focused themselves since the early days of their own CoD games. The new IW isn't willing to take any risks, MW3 was a disappointment that felt like a step back when Black Ops changed more and felt more ambitious, while Black Ops 2 looks like a fun new take on the franchise that is looking to change certain aspects and reinvigorate the series. IW was the company that soured the name of the franchise when MW2 had so many issues and when half the team left.

I'll say that I think IW's games were always more polished and well put together, but Treyarch has ambition and a willingness to change, so even if their games run less smoothly and look worse, they offer more and have more ideas.

I know you are a super troll. But I do not see how any of thse games are better. I played all of them by the way, except for DOTA is, probably some dumb PC game only hermits pretend to play. Here is my quick review for each of those games:

Half Life-Better SP than COD, since it does not have MP, at least not on consoles. But some parts are too slow, COD campaigns are non stop in your face action.

Team Fortres-Plays like a Killzone wannabe. Not good and boring. Plus no one plays it online anymore, that's how boring it was. And there are like what? 5 maps or something? Glad I did not by this, I would have been pissed.

Left 4 Dead-Total waste of money, short and no variety. Rental at best. Waste of money and totally overrated. I gave it a 6 in my review but only because it can be fun with friends on a rainy day but that's it.

Counter Strike GO-Never played this one, but I have played CS before. Totally full of hackers. But lot's of user made content totally beats COD map packs. BUT! COD has far better game play, so once again COD wins.

As for Steam well, it's pretty much just a big store, and a rip off at that. If they ban you then you can't play your games anymore, you don't own any of your games on Steam. And on top of this the games are too highly priced, they should be cheaper than console versions sine they are downloads. Steam only has good sales.

IW and Trey Arch have done far more for the FPS genre today than Valve. This is why they are the FPS kings and Valve is not.
