Where was the gameplay? I should have known this was going to be smoke and mirrors, this game of cat and mouse between Sony and MS is degrading their events to a point where it's pointless. Seriously what was that? A knockoff Turok, Scarlett Nexus running at 15fps, some creepy alien looking game... This is what happens when you give creative directors too much control over a project. Did we even get Ass Creed gameplay?, I stopped watching before the end.
That wasn’t too bad. Some interesting and very nice looking games shown. I’m much more interested in seeing what Capcom, Square-Enix, FromSoft, and all the Microsoft studios have coming though.

I thought that Blind Memory, The Medium, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, The Bandai-Namco game, and Valhalla looked really good and even the games that didn’t interest me like Dirt 5 and Madden still looked good technically and have me hyped for the system in general.
That wasn’t too bad. Some interesting and very nice looking games shown. I’m much more interested in seeing what Capcom, Square-Enix, FromSoft, and all the Microsoft studios have coming though.

Completely agree. Ended with, come back in July for real game content. Today was just all fluffy videos. All in all, a meh event that was overhyped and some good stuff in there but not enough to be significant.

Which is complete nonsense. In game cinematics could be pre-rendered scenes and give off the impression that the rest of the game will look the same.

@ghosts4ever: What can I say, I liked what I saw from those I mentioned. I’m not saying that they blew my mind or anything but I thought they looked pretty good. Well Bright Memory and Valhalla were the most impressive looking at least.

I was surprised by Dirt 5, it looks like Dirt: Showdown 2. But yeah, that's wasn't a great showing. What's the point of doing CGI trailers in this 'gameplay' reveal showcase?
And I also think differences between PS5 and Xbox SeX will be minor, inconsequential ones.
that show was kinda bad. not dissing xbox for it except for the fact this was not ready to be seen by the public. before this showing xbox made it seem they had so much to show that they had to break it up into two shows lol.

Having madden there was a waste of 5 minutes. They could've added Cyberpunk with ray tracing or something else.
Heck even Witcher 3 with ray tracing would have been better.

On the more realistic side of the spectrum. Game developers simply don't have the time to split their resources amidst the Covid-19 for a 30 minute showreel. Development remotely is already a struggle.
Not bad. I saw a couple Im' interested in. I bet a lot of games are running behind schedule due to the start of the virus, etc. I would expect the showing in July to give more time for some games that didn't make the deadline.
Honestly, bring back E3. These live crap shows are just awful.
Also, Microsoft... really? You had 1 chance to put Sony to sleep by revealing mega games, that makes me think that they're simply not ready yet to compete. No surprise, they've lost 3 gens in a row.
Overall: Abysmal show. Multi plats, CGI, next gen visuals?
God what a sad showing... I'm really disappointed by what I saw. Maybe only 2-3 I'm even remotely interested in. Need to see more on the Silent Hill looking type game and the dinosaur shooter.... I know it's early, but I guess I just expected more. Full of cheap space flying indies and racing games and over the top particle effects just because they can that only add clutter instead of anything meaningful.. oh boy. SONY's first showing can't be that bad. Like I said, I know it's early, but uggghhh... wtaf..
and they said they would be showcasing GAMEPLAY... nope.. They even said at the end "We hope you liked those sneak peeks at gameplay".... there wasn't any.. like at all. Cutscenes and artsy fartsy over the top trailers switching angles and views a thousand miles an hour isn't gameplay.
