Inside Xbox - next gen game reveal

Everyone relax. With no E3, all they were doing was showing games you could look forward over the next couple years. This was not intended to showcase what the console is capable of. It was “You want to see games for Xbox Series X, we want to show you games for Xbox Series X.”

There big showcase is June. This was just for 3rd party newly announced games.

Yes more gameplay should have been shown since that was the title. But with what was being leaked over the last few days this was not gonna be the big showcase we thought. It was more directed towards game reveals which is what I was expecting. It wasn’t a great show. But I give it a C. Some games I am definitely interested in. But, June is the big focus.

Can't wait for Scorn. I kickstarted that a few years back. The demo was cool, but it looks like it's changed a lot since then.

@sealionact: You'd buy the game on whichever console you wanted (digitally) and, then it would be available in your library for download when you signed onto the other console. It worked the same when buying digital PS1 games on PS3 / PSP or Vita.

The big show is in July. You'll see the Xbox Exclusives then. New games.

You seem confused, did you know the show was for third party games that will also be on the PS5, albeit with the possibility of being slightly worse versions lol.

Something very weird is going on with the video. People are saying it went to private at some point, and when it came back, the dislike bar changed. Now, it's age-restricted. This is a company that HATES bad PR of any kind, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing something to manipulate the video like convincing Google they're being hit with bot spam. I don't know. Apparently, Forza Horizon developer Playground Games is working non-racing game, an open-world RPG and Gears 5 (built-in benchmark with PC Ultra settings, Unreal Engine 4) already delivering RTX 2080 level results.

My point with Forza Horizon 4's example is the new GPU resource conserve features with DirectX12 Ultimate (aka DirectX12 Feature Level 12_2) before using the checkerboard workaround.

Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7 are not the only games friendly with AMD RDNA GPUs. For example

I honestly think games won't 'look' that much different from current gen, but they will surely 'feel' different.

Going from 1080/30 current gen to 4K/60 next gen is not only a 4 times increase in resolution. But you get twice the performance, which is something you certainly feel when playing games. It just feels smoother and better to control.

Honestly, I think it looks fantastic. Like they take the variety of events and weather from Forza Horizon and mix it with the skillful driving and AI of codemasters games and you got a winner.

People with 1080p TVs will be more than happy with the PS4 Pro or Xbox X for a few more years.

If you own ps3 games, you cant play them on ps4....unless it's on PsNow. Then you can pay again and stream it (No downloads) to your ps4 or PC. You pay twice to play your ps3 game. The only exceptions to that are the remasters like Last of us, God of war 3 and The last Guardian. If you own any of these games on ps3.....you pay again to play them on ps4.

This is why there is no bc with ps3 on ps5....Sony want PsNow money.

At the end of the day, it really is about what makes you happy. If you think Sony's BC on ps5 is as good as on XSX, PSNow is better than Gamepass and you don't need crossbuy, then happy days!

TBH, I have the X1X ( which is only a smidgen weaker than the PS Jive lol ) and have not made up my mind whether I'll get XSX on day one or not. If I do it will be a impulse buy just to have Halo: Infinite at it's finest. :P

Glad this show was poorly received. They had only one properly played game which is made by one guy in China. Games from China have no chances of being good, so it'll be a 7/10 tops. Bright Memory was the only interesting game shown, but it's developed by one guy in China and it's multiplat.

The xbox one isn't even BC with 360 games,if you don't fu**ing have internet you have no BC as you are FORCE to download a digital version that is compatible with the xbox one that is not BC at all.

BC is inserting your game on a platform and playing it from there,if the game is digital it should work like windows,now that is BC,the xbox doesn't have that,you are force to download a compatible version periods.
