MW2 is the best CoD game!.. MW3 comes right after Mw2.. i enjoy what IW does to its games more than treyarch
It's because secretly, I'm no sheep. That's a secret though, so keep it to yourself :PYup, never thought I would agree with a sheep though lol

But I hated MW2 and MW3 :(MW2 is the best CoD game!.. MW3 comes right after Mw2.. i enjoy what IW does to its games more than treyarch

And I'm the opposite, I love the Treyarch games more than the Infinity Ward games.
I don't play Call of Duty games but the worst thing to happen to gaming? Not even close. Not even close for this gen.
Kinect is also the worst thing that has ever happened to gaming.GamerwillzPS
Motion control is bad in general whether it's kinect, motion controller or move it just feels...unnatural for me at least.
I'll keep a controller or kb/m for my gaming any day of the week compared to motion controls.

Before it was Kinect is a copy of the EyeToy which moos loved and now it's the worst thing ever? You guys are hilarious.
CoD? Nope. There are far worse things that can happen to gaming such as no one buying or playing games. CoD keeps a lot of gamers playing despite accusations of rehash, milkage, etc.
My issue with this are the people who only play CoD and are completely closed minded to playing other types of games. Despite this, devs/publishers cater to the CoD crowd even though they don't buy their games, and in turn just pisses off everyone elseCoD? Nope. So long as there are other games and other genres, I'm not concerned. We've had gluts before. At one time or another, we've had gluts of fighting games, Doom-clone games, Baldur's Gate-type RPG games, even gluts of WW2 flight sims (on the PC). Yet, I'm sure you wouldn't have noticed them because there were plenty of other games to play.

CoD's formula is copied into other genres though. Take Uncharted 3s MP for example. It is plagued with elements from CoDThe worst thing to objectively happen to gaming is E.T for Atari.
Things like CoD, DLC, Kinect, etc. you may not like, but they haven't killed off gaming like E.T did or almost did.
Yes.Bringing joy to millions of people.
How dare they.freedomfreak
When developers try to develop games catering to another game's fanbase just for the chance to get more sales...yeah...big problem.Yes a solid franchise that makes a huge amount of money is terrible for gaming. The worst.

Not really. That happens in every popular medium including video games before CoD.

And that is explicitly the fault of those individual game developers, NOT Activision/IW/Treyarch. That is not activisions fault, problem, or responsibility. The fact that Activision/IF/Treyarch made an innovative product that dominated in its field and became a success is through THEIR OWN efforts.
If anything it speaks more on the quality of these other supposedly "super duper" developers that they need to "copy" CoD in the first place. Why is it so difficult for them to create innovative, genre defining experiences without "copying" CoD? If they want to create a successful innovative product it is their responsibility to do so, and their own faults if they fail.
People need to stop blaming their (vicarious) failures of their favorite company/developer on OTHER people and hold THEIR OWN company/game accountble.
Furthermore, if you look at the games that have come out recently, not only does every game that "copies" CoD end up failing, there seems to be a general consciousness within the industry AGAINST copying CoD anyways so I dont know what people are complaining about.
So long as other games and genres are not being ignored, I don't have a problem with CoD and its clones.
The closest I've seen where too much of one genre might have been a problem was the era of the Doom clones (mid-90's between Doom and Quake and also just before the PSX/N64 era) on the PC. That also coincided with a glut of fighting games on consoles. The game selection for other genres was fairly bland with those two genres taking up the lion's share of games.
[QUOTE="sonicare"]They're average at best.Nope. I liked most of the COD games. Pretty good fps for this gen.
ShadowsDemon
If Average games are this awsome and addictive then please i dont want to play any quality games anymore! gimmie more average games!
No.
The Games aren't bad.
i personally don't play them except for 4, but that's not cause i think they're bad, but because they're all almost completely identical.
And there lies the problem, and the reason COD gets as much hate as it does:
1)it gets popularity and acclaim for things that have been essentially the same since 2007
2)The practices surrounding it are a terrible inspiration for the gaming industry(rush out, milk, release a new game every year, etc)

possibly thee most boring MP of the series, use to put me the sleep with all of it's winter/russian maps that look alot :P
No. CoD would of never went that way if it wasn't for Halo so in few words we can't blame one specific thing because it's a mix of stuff that happened. Some people have been mentioning E.T. but even that one wouldn't be anything without Pacman 2600, Activision self publishing and who knows what else.

I thought it was the best COD since COD4 IMO. MW2 was practically the same game as BLOPS with better level design and without the hamhanded self-indulgent story. It still confuses me that people saw BLOPS as a "return to form" or something.[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"][QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]I thought it was the best COD since COD4 IMO. MW2's maps sucked IMO. I didnt even get past level 40 something on the MP cuz I got bored with it. BLOPS had better maps and better campaign IMO. I also loved the originality of Treyarch with the customizable game card pic and what not. Maybe it was just nice to experience a new story in the COD storyline.I didn't laugh.

But it's hardly debatable that both are worse than COD 4 and 2.[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"][QUOTE="carljohnson3456"] I thought it was the best COD since COD4 IMO. carljohnson3456
