Is DOOM the current graphics king?

I cant speak about PC but on consoles f*** NO

The game looks good and runs very smoothly but it pales in comparison with the likes of Uncharted 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Batman: Arkham Knight, The Order: 1886, The Witcher 3 and Assassin's Creed Unity (these are my personal favorite looking games of the current gen)

I only played Doom on Xbox One lol so can't really say how it looks at it's best, but BF1 is mind blowing and my old azz 970 runs it at 1080/60 so it's as optimized as it gets.

Well Witcher 3 , horizon zero dawn, uncharted 4, GTA5 all were having great graphics. How can Doom come to that list. The original Crysis back in its day and original far cry were good but I can't agree with Doom as king of graphics.

Horizon yes but UC4 graphics weren't impressive compared to UC2. Just seems like a better looking UC PS3.

Ratchet and Clank and The Order are better looking.

The Witcher 3, which, if you ignore the ENB modified pictures pc gamers spam, actually has a fairly poor presentation, it's very rough. Lots of clipping for example. NPC's blankly looking into space, no proper collision in combat.

Doom is way better looking, with more attention to detail, as well as (more importantly) running better. A modest machine can easily 60fps.

Doom is probably one of the top 3 smoothest running engines. (id tech 6)

Saber tech is probably one of the 3 worst engines. :D

For me at 4k nothing has touched rise of the tomb raider.

Horizon Zero Dawn is the best looking game i have ever played.

DOOM, SW Battlefront and Battlefield 1 are probably the most technically advanced and optimized, since they look amazing while running at 60fps on consoles.

Doom sucks. Ghost4ever sucks. Wanted to say it for a long time lol.

and final fantasy suck too.

Nah I put several games over it. I think it looks amazing but I'm more impressed with games like Witcher 3, UC4, HZD, R&C, Star Citizen, Paragon, Battlefield 1, and SW Battlefront.

Other then Doom 2016, is there anything you like from JRPG at the very least?

Doom 2016 was fun, it was good looking for but now that closer as Witcher 3 was, that game look so amazing, I was blown away & I don't give a damn if Juub1990 disagrees with me. Witcher 3 had the best graphics I seen this gen had to offer.
