I think its by far the best

and FF tactics don't even bother looking at it cause Disgaea is too low beneath FFT anyways the best one is valkyria chroniclesDisgaea says hi.

As far as strategy goes, Disgaea isn't really that strong. It's a lot of fun though and offers great gameplay.
Anyways, in response to your question, maybe. I think we might see a contender in a future Valkyria Chronicles game. The first one is a great strategy game.

Oh Valkyrie Chronicles the ps3 strategy game. I thought that game was good but I have not played it due to low funds. I will play it some point in the future so I can't really comment on the game other than what I've seen and read about it.
However, I would love another FFT game that was more like the original one with a different story but with more classes the only the thing is I'm not sure how many more classes they could come up with for the game but they could definitely make the plot better by letting you choose who you want to double cross and what not also giving you the option to change character clothing.
The Knight of Lodis? It's so awesome. I played a couple of missions of my friend's one, but I've been never been able to own a copy to finish it :cry:Tactics Ogre on the GBA for me.
Dead-Memories
Final Fantasy Tactics is a very good TBS series, but it's not better than:
- Heroes of Might and Magic
- Disciples
- King's Bounty
- Age of Wonders
- X-COM
- Jagged Alliance
RyuRanVII
The only thing that I like that is even close to those games you listed is something like a romance of the three kingdoms. I was more or less referring to games that a similar to FFT in how they play out. Those are somewhat similar to FFT but there is too much difference to really comapre them.
Also, a game that I like that maybe more similar to those is ogre battle
Nothing will ever beat Fire Emblem in this genre period, end of discussion. It's not even debatable so i'm declaring curtains on this thread. *folds arms*Bigboi500So true. It's a shame that Shadow Dragon was kinda mediocre :(

I just haven't felt compelled to beat it as of yet.

I agree. It's a very frustrating game when you are forced to sacrifice units constantly ...What? I guess that's why there are so many recruitable characters in that game, but I don't like killing off units even if I don't always use them all.[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]

I did like Disgaea, but VC is so much better and I can't wait for the sequel. Too bad it's not on a console.

Then again I did like tactics ogre quite a bit but the graphics are not as good as FFT
Sonwhy
I think FFT is sort of like Tactics Ogre ... perfected.
...What? I guess that's why there are so many recruitable characters in that game, but I don't like killing off units even if I don't always use them all. I was questioning the 'forced to sacrifice units constantly.' What difficulty setting where you playing it on?[QUOTE="WAIW"]

At least it's on PSP. The big screen + headphones really let me get immersed into FFT:WotL and Silent Hill Origins.

Why is it necessary? That just sounds like bad game design.

I was just thinking that there are only a couple places in the entire game where you're forced to sacrifice a unit, so 'constantly' is a bit of a strong word for that.[QUOTE="WAIW"][QUOTE="Bigboi500"] I guess that's why there are so many recruitable characters in that game, but I don't like killing off units even if I don't always use them all.

Compared to Fire Emblem and Disgaea, FFT is like the king of the cosmos of srpgs
Its so awesome that you can't really describe it/him/her
I agree. It's a remake of the first FE from the NES. I think they did that to show players not to worry about killing off a few members since there are too many to fully develop and use.Why is it necessary? That just sounds like bad game design.

In some cases you have to create a diversion and draw units away from important units so they can escape.
No, no, no, Tactical RPGs are completely awesome -- but FFT is just bad completely overrated in the genre, like anything involved with Final Fantasy.
Yandere
Because text selection on top of poorly drawn cartoon females is better than Final Fantasy, right?

Hmm interesting. In Fire Emblem one of those series that has a ton of titles in Japan but not many in the US?

Yes, I'd even say Generic Shooter #504 is better then another FF rehash.

Yeah, high production values, expansive quality content, and a commitment to excellence sucks! Games that strive to and achieve far less are so much better.
Lol, "rehash." Since VI, every Final Fantasy has been different from the last.

It's funny when people who know nothing about FF try to insult it. It usually results in comments like this and calling "futuristic" locations like in XIII "mediocre" when 9/10 RPGs use stock medieval fantasy locations that lack an ounce of the creativity that is put into Final Fantasy games.
