I agree completely, especially after trying Disgaea.
There is nothing in comparison to this series, Story-wise, Game-play wise. It's got everything.

Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle, Disgaea, Bahamut Lagoon, Front Mission, Jagged Alliance, Fire Emblem, no doubt they are all great turn-based strategy/RPG games, but nothing tops the good old X-COM: Ufo Defense.RyuRanXThat was my opinion. I accidentally logged in an old account. :D
In my opinion every NIS SRPG is better than FFT :/ Before Disgaea released, FFT was without a doupt on of the strongest, if not the strongest, SRPG around, but Disgaea changed FFT to a piece of history for me ^^
Um, I don't agree. I'll go with Fire emblem, Advance wars, Luminous Arc, and Knight in the Nightmare before FFT.
Fixed. I love NIS, but I suck at every one of their games from Disgaea to Prinny. FFT is awesome & I respect the phenomenal story, but I'm having trouble getting into it gameplay-wise. I think Jeanne D'Arc and Fire Emblem on the Cube (Path of Radiance) were both more slick and immersive.Nippon Ichi is the overlords of SRPGs geared only towards people who are insanely good at video games. :D

Wierd, I found Disgaea the most forgiving out of all SRPGs I've played. The ability to cancel moves and return to your original spot, after you've just participated in a double team move, then being allowed to move that same character and attack another enemy.. Picking characters up and throwing them halfway across the map. :P
I'll stop stalking this thread now.

Disgaea says hi.

As far as strategy goes, Disgaea isn't really that strong. It's a lot of fun though and offers great gameplay.
Anyways, in response to your question, maybe. I think we might see a contender in a future Valkyria Chronicles game. The first one is a great strategy game.
Totally agree. Disgaea may be a lot of fun, but it isn't as good of a strategy game as FFT is.
FFT is still number one for me.

Yeah, Disgaea is fairly easy, its true it has a lot of epicly high level end-game content, but it just makes it a grind fest. Please Log In to post.
