Is Halo Wars the worst RTS game this year?

This is a serious discussion. Technically, is Halo Wars the worst RTS game so far this year? worst RTS overall this year?

The game is well - made, easy to control, and fun to play. I'd so no, definately NOT the worst RTS of the year. It's simply designed for the console. I don't think it's fair to compare it to PC RTS games that utilize the keyboard for 100 different shortcuts. By this game's very nature, it is simplistic to control and not overly difficult to strategize. However, it makes up for that with fast-paced gameplay and smooth, no-nonsense battles.

Not saying it is but even if it was the worst RTS of this year who cares as we're only 3 months in to this year.

It's selling because it has 'Halo' in it, and I'm willing to bet the majority that actually know it's an RTS just bought it for the mythic map pack.Zoso-8

I'm not denying the fact that many people bought the game because of the Halo name. That's pretty undeniable. You also said most people who know the game is an RTS only bought it because of the Mythic Map Pack. While there are people out there that most likely did that, to say it is "most" is pure speculation, you have nothing to support that claim. Your post makes it seem like a very small percentage of people bought the game because they were actually interested in what it has to offer which to me seem pretty ridiculous. If I remember correctly, the demo for Halo Wars received a good share of downloads meaning a bunch of people knew what they were going when buying the game. Don't you think that it's possible people actually enjoyed the demo? Yes it's shallow, but it's still a fun game.

EDIT: Actually I just remembered the Mythic Map Pack only comes with the Limited Edition of the game so your claim isdefinitelywrong.

Ok checked it and he does have Halo Wars in. Got two achievements, beat Act I.

EDIT:But you should not let the fact it is 'dumbed' down get in the way of it. It is a fun game. I'm a huge RTS fan, and I love Halo Wars.
