the guy is grabed by snake and his partner is 2 feet infront of him and doesnt bother turning around even though the guy is moaning like a pornstar.

also how the hell is he pulling barrels out of his pocket.

Again your argument makes no sense scientologists actually believe the story of xenu(if they pay enough money to get that far in the church). MGS fans just really like the story and see the sort of vague connections kojima is making to real life politics and war nobody thinks the story is realistic but it doesn't mean some of the themes can't have a connection to the real world especially in times where media and government propaganda is at an all time high around the world the themes of nuclear war, government corruption and behind the scenes dealmaking to push towards or avoid war all have relevency to todays politics. If you aren't into all that it has a very comic book/anime sci-fi story that appeals to many people again its not realistic or going to win any awards for storytelling but it is some of the best put together in the game world you don't have to like it but the critical acclaim and sales the series has seen proves that many people disagree with you.

I'm not blind. I played through MGS1, which was a revolutionary action game...but the story was such bologna even my 14 year old self could understand this was a bunch of overblown B.S. But I finished it.

Then I bought MGS2 for my PS2 in 2003 and said to myself. "Wow, this gameplay is garbage.", and I quit after the first scene. I didn't learn my lesson, and gave Snake Eater another go...which I realized again "Wow, this game is STILL garbage". Basically I wasted $25 on MGS titles.

Oh and if you think I suck at VG's, check my gamertag LCPL KING. I've beaten Lost Planet, GRAW2, RB6V, and Quake 4 all on the hardest difficulties. Quake 4 being the hardest video game I have ever played on hard. Takes 6 dark matter shots to kill one on General...much less 2...

I'm not blind. I played through MGS1, which was a revolutionary action game...but the story was such bologna even my 14 year old self could understand this was a bunch of overblown B.S. But I finished it.

Then I bought MGS2 for my PS2 in 2003 and said to myself. "Wow, this gameplay is garbage.", and I quit after the first scene. I didn't learn my lesson, and gave Snake Eater another go...which I realized again "Wow, this game is STILL garbage". Basically I wasted $25 on MGS titles.

Oh and if you think I suck at VG's, check my gamertag LCPL KING. I've beaten Lost Planet, GRAW2, RB6V, and Quake 4 all on the hardest difficulties. Quake 4 being the hardest video game I have ever played on hard. Takes 6 dark matter shots to kill one on General...much less 2...

You really dont understand MGS at all, and im sure you made up buying MGS, unless of course you have, proof. Why dont you describe a little of MGS1 for me, refresh my memory.

One more question, if you dont think MGS has a good story, what do you consider a good story, and im bracing myself for Halo, seems like something you may understand, becasue complicated storys dont seem to be your thing.

Well you obviously never played much of MGS because well you wouldn't have squeeled the first time through the game, also did you know you can get the wolves to not attack you by getting one of the baby wolves to pee on you while in the cardboard box you then have a wolves' scent on the box and simply can walk through the area in the box its stuff like that why people love the gameplay quirky little attention to detail that are not needed but when you discover them make you realize how much thought goes into the games. If you never got past the first scene in MGS2 or 3 how can you bash the stories you simply can't and are a fanboy who made up their mind about the series long before giving then the proper attention to really judge whether you liked then or not.

Well you obviously never played much of MGS because well you wouldn't have squeeled the first time through the game, also did you know you can get the wolves to not attack you by getting one of the baby wolves to pee on you while in the cardboard box you then have a wolves' scent on the box and simply can walk through the area in the box its stuff like that why people love the gameplay quirky little attention to detail that are not needed but when you discover them make you realize how much thought goes into the games. The reason I didn't bother playing through MG2 and MGS3 was because not only was the story most likely CRAP like the first one (correct me if I am wrong here), but the gameplay was dated cow manure.

MGS Fans can't change the minds of the haters and vice versa. For example, let the poster who can't differentiate between reality and video games keep on with the illusion that there is a similarity between Metal Gear Solid series (software) ad Scientology (belief, not sure if it is a full blown religion, hope not).
