Is ps4 controller as good as xbox one for FPS?

I've got rechargeable AA's I used to use for my Xbox 360 controller. I've replaced the batteries in it once throughout an entire playthrough of Halo MCC, 10+ hours of forza, and a lot of netflix and streaming. My PS4 controller is dead in under 10 hours. It's a really terrible controller for battery life.

I don't think it has much to do with that LED either. Those aren't expensive to run. I think they just cheaped out on the battery in the thing.
