No, i have just play it at my friends house and it fells.......loose compare to GOW. But that just could be me since i only have play 360 for many years

That's no more than Gears 2, and look at the amazing AI :roll: Even the small environments in this video doesn't touch Gears's graphics.

You're exactly right, I've never played Resistance 2 (unless you count the beta, which I don't) and I never claimed to have done so. I made an objective claim based on the footage I've seen of the game and my short time with the closed beta and that's it. I didn't make a definitive claim that Gears 2 looked better than Resistance 2 because I know I'm not in a position to make that claim. Who knows? You could turn out to be right when I pop the game into my PlayStation 3 on Christmas morning. I highly doubt it, but hey, I'm not going to rule it out entirely.

Resistance 2 has fairly weak graphics. Some things are quite impressive, for example the Leviathan and the water effects, but it is far from the prettiest looking FPS. Gears 2 looks fantastic in places, and generally looks good most of the time. Having said that when it comes to multiplayer R2 is so much more technically superior to GeoW 2. The game runs at a perfect frame rate with very little lag, and with alot going on at one time. With GeoW 2 your stuck with an awful match making system that might or might not have you waiting 10 minutes to get into a game. I still give the edge in technical superiority to GeoW 2 because I am a single player gamer, but as an overall package I prefer Resistance 2.
If your talking technical; Technically Resistance 2 supports a lot more on screen action and players, but technically Gears 2 looks better.Couth_
That's not technical at all :? Technically would be saying Resistance 2's support of large scale and a lot more characters on screen is more technically impressive than gears of war's textures and effects.

I admit i haven't played Gears 2 or resisitance 2. Their originals put me off any future installments. I've never liked the look of Resistance, to me it looked lame and ridiculous. Everything I see about the game its just a gun that shoots yellow orbs that hits an enemy 3-4 times and they fall down. It never ever looked fun to me.

I was never really taken by Halo. Still, it's a real shame about Timesplitters, it's one of my favourite games of all time. So much fun killing bots in so many ways. There arn't many shooters that let you run around as the giner bread man with a flame thrower, making fried calamari. Still Resistance 2 is very diffrent from the first. It's more like Halo in the sense it is more focused on intense action than it's predessecor. Lots of Boss Battles and intense set pieces. Great vibrant settings as well, ranging from the swamp like lousiana level to the flooded urban enviroments of Chicago. GeoW 2 is a little bit diffrent aswell, with greater variety in both enviroments and gameplay. It's also alot faster paced, mabye too fast.
i think that both games have amazing graphics and smart AI but resistance 2 has better physcics and better multiplayer suporting 60 players while gears suport 10 players.However gears of war is a great game, too
GeOW2 far better story, graphics. R2 far better MP options. Reason why I bought em, haven't even touched R2 SP since day 1. The R2 colors are grimey looking and dirty at times. But a great MP game.
The fact that you haven't played either of these games alone signifies your lack of business stating any opinions about them, no matter how those opinions were developed. I've played both Gears 2 and Resistance 2, a lot, and Gears 2 is the better game, both technically and generally. It's not really sensible to compare the two games directly in terms of gameplay and physics and what not, because they're two completely different styles of games. Overall, Gears 2 is superior in those areas as a third-person shooter than Resistance 2 is as a first-person shooter. But in terms of graphics, Gears 2 looks much better in every way IMO. I can see where people come from about the colors thing, but what I feel is that R2 has better environments to show off its colors, which is what creates the illusion that R2 has "better colors". Your post failed when you admitted to not having played either game, but to some degree, it also fails in stating that R2 is techinically superior to Gears 2. It's not true.

The truth is in bold. Even worse, TC came back with picture comparisons saying, "Which one would you rather play?" Both of these games have been out for at least 6 weeks so there is no reason for picture comparisons when we can actually play the game. I'm really starting to think some of these guys suck horribly at shooters, because they spend too much time looking at textures, lighting, and water effects when they should be squeezing the trigger or ducking for cover.

How the **** can you say that Crysis and Halo are better than Gears of War? Crysis has nice graphics and it's relatively fun to shoot down treees or punch Koreans into walls so that houses get demolished but the game is pretty dull. Also, Halo has good and epic campaign, but Gears of War is much better, more addictive multiplayer and the all-time greatest weapon, the chainsaw.
I haven't played either game, but from the videos I have seen on the internet, it seems that Resistance 2 is a much more grand-scale game with a lot more going on and better physics. Resistance also seems to have better artistic value and better colors, which seem to give it a better overall appearance than Gears 2. Gears 2 seems like a good game, but Resistance 2 just seems technically superior.

I'm not a lemming. I don't own a 360. I've got a PC and we have a PS3 in the house and I play Oblivion and Warhawk. My comment was a dumb one, but I just wanted to match the one that I was initially responding to. So again, I'm not a lemming, but I do think the 360 is better...does that make me a lemming? I like the PC over all consoles.
