Is Rise of Tomb Raider Timed for PC only?

I still don't understand whats going

Ryse/Dead Rising were timed and never came to ps4 for years, is this deal the same or not?

we've seen this before, street fighter 5 said console exclusive that means it never comes out on xbox

we saw dead rising 3 console exclusive it never coming to playstation

THEY NEED RISE to be a permanent exclusive and if it comes to PC that will also hurt xb1 they need it cuz it if comes to pc anyone with a ps4 will still be able to play it without an xb1 or if its timed they just pick up a bundle a year down the road and they alrdy get uncharted as well

Uncharted is a first party title owned by Sony, TR is a third party timed exclusive. The situations aren't comparable.

You have to keep in mind that PlayStation brand was built on third party games ever since PS1 and the TR deal has definitely changed since the announcement with Microsoft not Square Enix publishing it so you have no guarantee it's gonna appear on PlayStation.

Originally it was timed to be Xbone only. After the Street Fighter V debacle, it has the potential to be Xbone exclusive.

It's going to be on PC at some point and Nixxes is assigned to handle PC port. Not sure about Ps4 version. It may not come out on Ps4 since Microsoft is publishing it.

they announced it for 360 as well, so doubt it will only be on X1. And someone posted a while back that it was confirmed to have Mantle support, which is PC related

im friggin certain its timed on PC, the only one im uncertain of if its timed for playstation for like 3-5 years or someting thats a long time to wait for a game

the phil spencer guy even said he doesn't own Ryse or Dead rising 3 (two games that ONLY CAME TO PC!!) unless hes lying it sounds like they paid for it never to come to playstation an its only timed for a bit until a pc version is made or something

At any rate, the excitement for the product has worn thin since the game has been announced to be a cross generational product being released on 360 and Xbone. It's very disappointing that by his Xmas we will still see the 2005 360 hardware holding back next gen machines like the Xbone.

Last time I heard it was time exclusive to X1 but when M$ found out that Street Fighter 5 was gonna be PS4 PC and not on XBOX, M$ got mad and completely bought out Tomb Raider.

I believe Tomb Raider is now Xbone exclusive forever (with the probable possibility to come to PC like a year or two later as most XBOX eclusives tend to do).

PS4 seems to be 100% out of the question now.

That is correct. It seems select users keep forgetting or just never knew but continually comment about the new 360/Xbone Holiday 2015 Tomb Raider game insisting it's for Xbone only. It's unfortunate that 2005 360 hardware is still going to be holding back current gen Xbone 2015 gaming, but that's sales for ya.

What makes the case worse is the competition is readying a very similar product (Uncharted 4) in the same time frame of holiday 2015 and their product won't be on the last generation 2006 PS3 making UC4 a full new generation game with all the bells and whistles that accompany developing for new hardware without scaling or developing gaming engines and assets for old hardware (PS360).

oh i am sorry, i played on my big screen tv at true 1080p and 60 fps. Yes, we are different, for a start i am not a moron, and second i do like quality. I do hope you have enjoyed your blurriness and fps drop on the big screen though. Those 16 fps must have looked awesome at 55'

also are you getting any input lag / delay or ghosting issues running it 60 FPS 1080p through your computer to TV? theres no way your tv can handle only a monitor can even the best tv wouldn't be able to do it so why lie about it like uve done twice already?

well for starters the guy basically flat out lied to my face. First he downgrades the graphics with tomb raider to 1080p. Then he says he has no input lag running tomb raider at 60 FPS THROUGH HIS COMPUTER TO TELEVISION! Can he just link me his TV that does this? yes monitors can have more resolution, but i find 1080p is more than fine for my tv, and i have both monitor and tv hooked to my pc, since i play and watch movies a lot i do like to get on my bed and do it on my tv. And no, i don't have ghosting or delay since i have a high end tv and pc, and yes tvs can, even regular ones if they have good enough response time, the ghosting issues are gone mostly for modern tvs.

yes but you don't understand a even a brand new tv doesn't have the refresh rate of a high end pc monitor, theres no way you ran tomb raider on high settings at 60 FPS through a brand new tv even its literally impossible without tons of input lag and ghosting

no dude my point is he played it on monitor (like all other pc gamers do) or he didn't play the game at all and is just lying to us he didn't play it on his tv with a controller like hes claiming (IMO) or hes lying bout how he played with some bad delay or res on his tv

PC gamers wouldn't sacrifises tons of resolution to play on a big tv with input lag and ghosting TV's refresh time is not even close to a monitor so the game WILL GHOST despite what he claims here it happens to every single pc game i try to run on my tv yes they look big but they have lag and sloppy compared to any pc monitor

Well, seeing as they said this was a similar case to Ryse and Dead Rising 3 it'll end up on PC some time after the Xbox release. MS effectively pays the developer/publisher to delay the PC version (which shows how much they care about PC gamers much more than their constantly repeated 'We really care for PC gamers'-phrase)

Anything about a PS4 is just speculation, as Ryse and Dead Rising never showed up on that platform. Are Crytek and Capcom free to publish these games on PS4 or not ? Who knows.
