is the $50 xbox live/year worth it compared to sonys free online?

Though i'd rather kill myself before buying EITHER a 360 or PS3,i'd go with PS3's online,its free.

But their online is puny and weak compared to PC.

Well.. not in comparison with PC's free online anyway...

But its too close too decide between PS3 and paid Xbox live..

xbox live is garbage because it uses P2P. But microsoft knows that there is no point in owning a 360 without live so they make people pay. sony online is better because its free and uses dedicated servers for games. (this is coming from a 360 owner)jbz7890

it only uses a dedicated server for a few games. also, the PSN interface is terrible (i've played both). now Home might make it another story.
