Is The Witcher 2 the best PC game this year?

I think it is and I haven't even played it.

It has the looks, the story, the action, the lenght, the controversity, is glitch-free (a rarity among PC games), gets great free upgrades, ect. (I got this info from the reviews)

Ironically it doesn't even make use of DX11 and looks better than 90% of all "DX11 supporting" PC games out there.

Unfortunately my PC is a little to weak to run the game enjoyably but I have to say I'm a little envious on those who can max it out.

Simply put, I think this is the defining PC game this year after which all other PC games should aspire after.

It would be nice if the game came out for the Wii-U too.

Shogun 2 is also amazing,and there´s also SW ToR coming in december,so we´ll see about that one.

The first Witcher was brilliant.

i just got witcher 2 and i think some site needs to give it game of the year, its a excellent game.

Well i've only played two games sop far. little big planet 2 and gears 3, and little big planet 2 is my personal goty so far.

but there's still skyward sword, skyrim, and uncharted 3 to pick up :D

also i will pick up this game when it hits the 360, as my pc cant handle this beast! :o

Definitely looking forward to the Witcher series when I build my PC and get rid of this crappy laptop.

I'm trying to keep info on the games down to a complete mininum :P I want to be fully immersed.

I wouldn't just call it the PC GOTY I'd call it GOTY beyond all else...of course this is GS where somehow GoW3 has better graphics than Metro 2033 PC...so it won't happen.

- Red Orchestra 2

Those and BF3 are the best pc games this year and some of the best on any system imo. 3 of those are exclusives to (atm)

Ive honestly been going back and forth for Total War Shogun 2 and The Witcher2 for GOTY for most the year, cant pick what was better, both are very good.

I have enjoyed Shogun 2 more than I have The Witcher 2.sSubZerOo

I wouldn't think so, I mean I haven't played the witcher 2 but I played part 1 and if part 2 is like part 1 it's going to be a split between the people that like that type of game and people that don't like it and will use this game to as their reason why.

I talked to my pc gamer friends and they say Angry Birds is the best pc game.

I happen to disagree. I think it's the best game all platforms included to come out in the last four years.

Love the world, the characters, the story is actually very good. The graphics are amazing, the combat is fluid, fast and fun. I also like the fact that CD Project Red is updating the game with new side quests and extras for FREE.

Before even playing it, only by looking at screenshots, i knew the game would be epic. Built a pc for it and not regretting one bit. Amazing game but not better than dark souls.silversix_

well, to be honest, it's my game of the year so far and I don't need a website to tell what is and what isn't my game of the year. I get the "everyone's got their opinion" crap, but that does not mean I need anyone to tell me whether or not a game lived up to my expectations.

Yes really. Nier for me was only 5 hours shorter than that and that game by RPG standards is considered very short by a lot of people.
