The ability to play all the great games on it, ofc you'd realise this if you werent a big ole' fanboy.
But- those same games are available elsewhere.
You're right, everyone sell your Xbox, and get a gaming PC, now that I think about it, no reason to own a PS3, everyone sell your PS3s and get a gaming PC.

Same can be said for the PS3 besides a small handful of exclusives (less than the 360).

The PS3 has less exclusives than the Xbox 360? That's news to me.

I guess that means 360 owners can't play them.

No, it means there would be no need to own an Xbox 360 when there are better options out there.

Exactly, and the best option would be to own a PC.

Not all of them. Halo, Forza 4, PGR3 & 4, Perfect Dark Zero, Lost Odyssey, Ace Combat 6, Mass Effect, Dance Central, Kinect Sports, Kameo, Shadow Complex and dozens of other titles can only be played on XBox 360.your sat in front of a PC with google. why not look it up?I don't know what "cognitive dissonance" means.

"Better option" is an opinion, and one that a big chunk consumers dont appear to share with you.
Specifications don't lie. The PS3 has better specs than the Xbox 360. That is a fact.

Crysis 2 looks like it will become console graphics king and most multiplats look better on 360...
its the same with the PS3 though. the PC is all you need. sure PS3 had lots of exclusives, but there all mediocre and not on par with PC games. purePCgamerLOL!! What!?! Dude, Wake Up. Your lost in PC Fantasy Land. There are hundreds of console and handheld exclusives that you can never play on the PC. Many of the PC games are losing their exclusives. Crysis 2, The Sims and even Diablo 3 will all see the light on game consoles. Really no reason to own a PC for games unless your a hardcore PC geek or you love MMO's and RTS games.

And the PS3 is still missing the exclusive library of the PC. Which I imagine is far more varied and overall better.

PC, plus i think a PS2 for unique RPGs, and Action - Hack 'n Slash games is well worth it. Add a Wii for diversity's sake, and you're set. PS3 is.. well, the exclusive lineup is pretty nice for 2010, and 2011, add console exclusives such as Bayonetta, the obvious choice is the PS3, to get these days.
As for the topic at hand, i agree that the 360 is garbage these days. Multiplats are only worth it on the PC were everything is superior. The exclusives in 2010 for the 360 were mediocre trash except for Reach and one Kinect(lmao) game, and 2011 has barely anything except for a couple of games.
So yeah, 360 is on life support, but the casual market for kinect games will keep it alive, and inferior, blurry messes of multiplats, 90% consisting of shooters.

The large library of great games... the incredibly well-managed and streamlined online community... a solid gamepad that facilitates better control of games (the only real problem I have with it is the horrible d-pad)... XBLA providing experiences that aren't available elsewhere... a fairly big independent market that has some great;y innovative ideas...
Actually, there are a lot of reasons to own a 360. Unless one is a hardcore PS fanboy who refuses to play anything else other than Sony products/games. The biggest "cognitive dissonance" of gaming was Sega in the late 1990's releasing the 32X, Saturn and Dreamcast all around the same time and trying to support them all. Clearly the TC doesn't even understand what the term used means.
It's funny how you can't quantify that.

Accept it, they both have their strenghts and weaknesses, an neither is clearly superior than the other.

There really is no reason to own one over a PC unless the PC is a little out of the budget. Don't even give that "bah it's simpler to game on a console" BS. It's so easy to operate a computer, it just requires effort. Please Log In to post.
