[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]No, You said that there shouldn't be remakes, not what I think is wrong with the games, don't change the topic. I'm talking remakes in general, not the wii remakes which don't really need to exist since they're really just ports. Also, don't speak for anyone not named foxhound_fox, no one wants you talking for them. If I want a remake to a game, I have the right to want it more than a new game regardless of whether I can get it else where or already own it. Seriously, speak for yourself.foxhound_fox
I'm not changing the topic, I'm asking you about your point. You say that "remakes fix problems in the originals." I want to know exactly what problems in the Wii-makes there are that need fixing. Of course, remaking a game from 1983 is going to fix a lot of problems it had, but its also going to drastically change how the game is played. The Wii-makes and most modern remakes of last-gen games aren't changing anything at all. All those resources should be devoted to either a sequel, that can be given additional content without sticking to the original format or completely new content.
Why should I not be able to express an opinion about other people's opinions? Why can I not comment on people's desire to have a remake instead of new content or a sequel? Sure, you have the right to want whatever you want, but I have the right to criticize your opinion for wanting it over new content. You seem to think free speech only entails a persons opinion for themselves and not criticism of other people's opinions.Uh no. I already said, not the wii remakes because they are really just ports. I said that in my last post. Again, I said remakes in general, not just remakes of last gen games so I don't know where you are going with this. A remake of an old game can fix things like balance, difficulty, dialogue etc while still being the same game, many remakes do this.
For your second point, I said don't speak for others, not that you can't crticize others opinions. Telliung me what I should want isn't criticism, its speaking for me. We don't need you to do that, we are capable of doing it ourselves. You seem confused because your wrding was definitely not critcism, it was saying what we should want and what we shouldn't. Critism would be "I don't think its beneficial for the fans of the series to want remakes but rather new games". You said, it doesn't matter what they want, they SHOULD...... That is speaking for someone.
