Is there any reason to even own a Wii anymore???

I wouldn't call it a waste if the fans want it and it fixes the problems with the original. New games and sequels are great but there is nothing wrong with revisiting the past as well for new and long time fans.ActicEdge

The wii is a great system to own for those who have never owned nintendo systems before. I've only owned playstation 1/2 and xbox. With wii, I can play gamecube games a a fairly large selection of nes/snes/n64/genesis/etc. games. I'm ok with the new play control/remakes/ports because I never played a lot of those games, since I never owned a gamecube before. I spend quite a bit of time playing my wii, and it is fun.

I can see how someone who might have already owned previous nintendo consoles would be frustrated a little by the wii. If I owned a gamecube already, I would never pay to play the same game twice, even with improved controls.

I have been very satisfied with almost all of the game I have bought for wii so far as well. There is no doubt that wii owners are missing out on some quality multiplats this gen, but the wii still has a lot of fun games to keep people busy.

No, You said that there shouldn't be remakes, not what I think is wrong with the games, don't change the topic. Uh no. I already said, not the wii remakes because they are really just ports. I said that in my last post. Again, I said remakes in general, not just remakes of last gen games so I don't know where you are going with this. A remake of an old game can fix things like balance, difficulty, dialogue etc while still being the same game, many remakes do this.

For your second point, I said don't speak for others, not that you can't crticize others opinions. Telliung me what I should want isn't criticism, its speaking for me. We don't need you to do that, we are capable of doing it ourselves. You seem confused because your wrding was definitely not critcism, it was saying what we should want and what we shouldn't. Critism would be "I don't think its beneficial for the fans of the series to want remakes but rather new games". You said, it doesn't matter what they want, they SHOULD...... Well it's a good thing Dead Rising Wii is a perfect display of Wii's technical prowess pushed to the limit, or else that argument would sort of fall on its face.

Wii fans like me should just move out of Gamespot because it's obvious that their 360/PS3 biased, and so are most of the people who join Gamespot. Youtube and IGN are different stories, though. Any 360/PS3 fanboy who replies to this negatively just proves my point...

My point: Never join Gamespot if your a Wii fan, unless you like getting bashed alot.

I used to defend the wii a lot. Lately there has been no games that interest me. I've had the system since launch and although the wii's first few quarters were good the good games just stopped coming. I mean the amount of AAA exclusives and AAA non exclusives on the ps3 has brought me back to gaming. (I also wish i had a 360 because of their exclusives as well) The wii can't handle the complexity of a lot of the games coming out nowadays. Not just graphics but in game engines like physics, or a.i. or the amount of enemies on screen. The wii has rehashes coming out but not much else. Something original and worthwhile would be great for the wii, but it looks grim for a long time.
