MGS4
Best cutscene in gaming history IMO. This is why this game scored a 10 - cinematic genius.

:o I feel dumber for watching that...
Thanks TC...I've had this game for a while, but I've beein putting off playing it...Now i never will... this ridiculous game.. It also won best graphics over Warhead. :o
Maybe it was just me, but I cringed so much at this cutscene. It was almost as pretentious as FF13s cutscenes.
[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]How would that make you feel dumber? It transcends dumbness:o I feel dumber for watching that...

Well all the bosses in the series seem mentally unstable anyways, and Raiden was playing his part as a "cyborg ninja" very well.:o I feel dumber for watching that...

I skimmed what I could, but it was just too long and ridiculous. That, and why some people like watching their games instead of playing them is beyond me.

Well.... MGS4 is known for its ridiculousness. But this is nothing compared to that horror in Act 3.Best put together cut-scene in any video game I've ever seen. So epic it brings tears to my eyes. And it's interactive.

That cutscene is kinda stupid action...
The best cutscene ever is when Ocelot gains control of all weapons and kills everyone. THAT's a good one.
The movie should have been like the game, the whole necromonger crap just doesn't fit with Riddick, IMO. Anyways, chilling scene. I really liked the opening adventure parts. Battle of Citadel is my new favourite. It's like dream come true for a Star Wars fanboy like me. I was so sad ME2 didn't have anything like this. Hopefully ME3 will have more things like this and (hopefully) space battle you can actually take part in.Best put together cut-scene in any video game I've ever seen. I have a good sense of imagination and i can buy into a lot of things, but the MGS story and characters to me are a cross between highly bizarre and just plain WTF? Its as if they put Snake, who is a pretty cool character in a sea of rave junkies.
That custscene is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. The cinamatography has no significance or meaningful impact. I wouldn't be caught dead playing that game.

The music is also better than the generic orchestral ME2 score.
I agree! But thats what makes MGS4 cool though. Youre just this dude who saves the world from wacky instances.I have a good sense of imagination and i can buy into a lot of things, but the MGS story and characters to me are a cross between highly bizarre and just plain WTF? When you hear the word "cinematography" being reffered to a video game, you know that its a great cutscene!

Yeah, ME1 really is better in music compared to ME2. Hopefully Clint Marsell will do ME3 justice by making something crazy awesome like his Lux Aeterna[QUOTE="TheEroica"]That's pretty much the whole point of the game. why do people kiss kojimas a$$ then? I mean from a game standpoint, Ive liked every metal gear though I would never call any of them legendary, eh maybe MGS1, but people love this guy like he creates this holy art or something... I will give him one thing, it is pretty unique in its own way.I have a good sense of imagination and i can buy into a lot of things, but the MGS story and characters to me are a cross between highly bizarre and just plain WTF? I will give him one thing, it is pretty unique in its own way. Don't ask me why some other people kiss his ass. But gameplay wise, a sane guy in a world full of ridiculous insane junkies make up for a pretty exciting encounters. At least it was until MGS3. Not sure why MGS4 is awesome....... The bosses were pretty standard. Other than the fact there were many ways to approach problems, sometimes in ingenious ways, there really isn't anything particularly memorable in MGS4 other than some cutscenes compared to previous games in the series.I have a good sense of imagination and i can buy into a lot of things, but the MGS story and characters to me are a cross between highly bizarre and just plain WTF? Ive beat the game 7 times and I almost dare it at this point to get stale... I live in a world where a major gaming publication like gamespot thinks crysis 2 is on the same level as Mass Effect.... its just weird. So, is it weird that I've owned a PS3 for two years now and still haven't played this game?SuperzoneNot really. I know everyone hates the word overrated around here as they should because it gets thrown around way too much. However, I honestly feel this is the most overrated game of the generation. IDK if it was because the PS3 had nothing else at the time or what.

i have mgs4 and i thought it was ok, but it had too many moments that made me think and say "wtf" or "why?" while i cringed

I always did enjoy that one. I wish mgs4 had a cutscene viewer though. Second disc for it even.
Couldnt stand the op one though. Most dealing with raiden or vamp just made me cringe..

Don't hate on my man Raiden. One of the best scenes in the MGS series. Though my favorite scene in all of gaming is
Old Snake VS Liquid Ocelot
