Is xbox one pretty much a dead system?

As for you question, hardly, at least in my home, it’s my PoS4 the one who gonna outlive X1 since I seldomly turn it on.

@i_p_daily: PC is the Xbox gamer's friend, they help increase software sales numbers for Xbox titles. You should love and respect them.

I look at this way- I can play the Doom franchise, the Dark Souls trilogy, the Black Ops trilogy (soon to be quadrilogy), all the main series Halo entries, the Dead Rising quadrilogy, the Banjo Kazooie trilogy, the Gears of War franchise, etc etc etc all on the same platform. I love Halo MCC and Rare Replay- two fantastic game compilations. It has some great shared games that you can't play on Playstation or Nintendo- Ori, Cuphead, Forza Horizon 3, PUBG, Dead Rising 4. And a few games you can't play anywhere else- Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive.

If you cut away compilations, multiplats, and BC (any game you can play on a different platform), then it's embarrassing.

If you include them, it's an awesome place to play all these great games in one place.

35+million sales in 4 years seems far from being dead to me. It's well above consoles like Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, WiiU, etc, and almost at the total numbers of successful ones like Snes or Megadrive.

The thing is, any console compared side by side with PS4 will look like a disappointment. PS4 is just one of the fastest selling consoles in history.

That's a total lie, it's not even close to the top 10. It will have to break the 80 million units sold barrier in order to do that, and considering Xbone sales are stalling around 35 million right now there's no way it's gonna do that.

Maybe they don't want to mess with drivers, high prices etc.

I'll give you high prices since the crypto miners have screwed up GPU prices but the "Drivers" excuse is bullshit. Not wanting to mess around with Drivers hasn't been a valid excuse since 1998.

Sure they have gotten way easier now but still they may be time consuming. Only thing Console updates are for the OS.

What is the XBOX One? I often forget that console is even a thing.

I love it but I spend most of my time playing online matches, so I can dominate friends & family.....I haven't bothered too much with myplayer.

They're not time consuming at all, It takes me maybe 2 min to fully DL and install drivers.

I honestly believe it is awesome that we live in a time that Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony will all have a generational machine that will all be in the top 10 gaming consoles. Yes, I believe the Switch is a hybrid and should count as a console where a lot of people think it should be considered just a handheld.

It's only dead in relative terms and a matter of perspective. For some XB may be dead but for people like myself it's very much alive and from my perspective the XB is the best it's ever been. Furthermore, I could just say the same thing about PS4, I gave it a try but the experience was not great. Everything about the PS4 was bland and boring. Also, the so called great exclusives were just pain stakingly god awful.

The PS4 is completely dead in my book. We both know however objectivly speaking both are not dead. I'm more curious however, why do people day in and day out have to try bash the XB? It's like your lifes work. Is it just a trend and the cool thing to do? As painful and dissapointed i was with PS4 I never felt the need to be proactive by making topics day in and day out in attempt to destroy peoples perspective of it on a daily basis. Some clowns around here probably lay in bed at night thinking of their next troll topic because they've never been touched by a women.
