Keep in mind that Jan NPD starts Jan 4th , so the 1st three days are counted for December. The Xbone was ahead those days on amazon for sure , so keep that in mind.

There was also a recent EBay (via newegg) sale on PS4 for $349 and over 7.000 of them sold pretty quickly from what I saw. (I don't know where it ended)

I've been checking in on Toys R Us's most popular lists since the Xbone went back to $349 figuring it would be a hit with families/kids at that price , and to my surprise .... the PS4 has been ahead every time I looked. The PS4 is at #20 and the Xbone is at #40 when I just checked.

I have no idea what's happening with Best Buy , Gamestop , Wal-Mart , Target , etc ... online though ... and obviously have no idea what goes on at retail stores.

Jan NPD should be interesting. Can Sony shock the world again? Only time will tell.

@mikehockbourns: The best MS can hope for in the US is a tie (which is still a long shot) and for them that's a huge loss because the Xbone is dead in the water everywhere else. To say only one country's sales matter is silly. MS wants a global leading product, not an also-ran product that only sells well in one country for the holidays. Even at $50 cheaper they are struggling to compete this month in the US. They needed to be $70 cheaper with free $50 gift cards thrown in against a full priced PS4 just to finally win a month last year. They can't offer that every month so PS4 will slowly gain back all those lost sales until the holidays when MS goes firesale crazy again. Rinse and repeat all gen.

yes it is more important to me because I live in the US. I don't give a shit who sells more in Europe or Asia because I don't play Fifa all day or those boring ass JRPG's.

I like to play western games like Halo, Gears of war, Forza, Madden and I play those against American players. Games like Bloodborne don't interest me. I'll take an American console for American players any day of the week.

Well again, unlike a chute, i don't say things I'm not sure of as fact, but it's very likely based on the Gold position that Xbox may win by a decent amount or both be par within 10k or less this month either favor. I wouldn't use Toys R us (online especially) for game consoles though. I did stop buy a Best Buy and there was a sign over a stack of CU bundles that aid 6 days left which makes me wonder..
