[QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]haters have been owned. lol. where are the haters, I would like to see how they will spin this.thinicer
Considering the fact that the PS3 has been available for sale via preorder for weeks now in Europe, 512 thousand is not that impressive a figure. The PS3 did not sell out and many expected that it would be. This represents the vast majority of Sony fanboys and early adopters who just can't wait to get their console.
There is still half of Europe's PS3 launch stock remaining, and I don't expect it to go as quickly.
lol. we have a hater. any other haters around?[QUOTE="the-very-best"]VGCharts is hardly official but if their estimates are correct then good job Sony. That would be a much higher number than I expected.thinicer
I expected them to sell out. Afterall, Europe is supposed to be Sony's #1 territory.
You're one of the few. Most on SW expected it to flop at launch (even I did and I'm a Sony fan).
It's interesting that it didn't.Â

520,000 Ps3 units sold in one day is impressive! imagine how many Ps3s will sell in one week:shock:!!![QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]haters have been owned. lol. where are the haters, I would like to see how they will spin this.thinicer

Its only the first day, lets see what the figures look like at the end of the month.Wii been out for 4 months, it's facing competition, and it doesn't have any good games out yet. It's amazing how the wii is selling.ninjiijitsuit only cost like a dollar

520,000 Ps3 units sold in one day is impressive! imagine how many Ps3s will sell in one week:shock:!!!The rest of the week will not see the same kind of sales volume. Remember, this is the pent-up demand from Sony fanboys and electronics enthusiasts who have been eager to get the system for months. They are always going to be the first ones to buy the console, and Europeans have been able to pre-order a PS3, whenever they want and wherever they want, throughout Europe for a month now. All those pre-orders that have accumulated for that month's time, along with the few walk-ins, are now representating themselves today.
[QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"][QUOTE="Spartan070"]That is pretty impressive, not Halo 2 one day sales impressive, but still impressive.:wink:Spartan070your not maing any sense. PS3 costs 750$. Halo 2= 60$. Do the math, its just as impressive if not more impressive. Dude, all time record one day sales for any entertainment media in history, music, movies, whatever. NOTHING is more impressive until something beats $125 million in 24 hours. didnt burning crusades destroy it?
[QUOTE="SoulKillah"][QUOTE="Berserker_2"]I dunno...you should go check VGcharts.org then, they have the news!Any way the article your talking about is from 23 hours ago... VGCharts.org is not official. Any numbers from them should be taken with a grain of salt. Any numbers from them based off of a guess on a single day sales spike without any data beforehand to develop some kind of a formula to ground things on should be taken with a whole teaspoon of salt.I can't find your article. But here's one from the same source. It says that the PS3 launch was a flop.

congrads for being "that guy"VGCharts is not an official sales tracking organization and their is no way they would have sales data that quickly from retailers. In only 11 hours it is being reported that 512,000 Ps3's have been added to the worldwide ps3 tally from Europe alone.
Worldwide sales now stand at 2.67million, still trailing to the xbox360 at 9.6million, and the Wii at 6.03million.
(VG Charts is the first website of its kind to provide a comprehensive analysis of the worldwide videogame market via a variety of research techniques; including interviews with publishers, developers, analysts, retailers and distributors, historical data fitting and analysis of sell-through information. Yeah. We did. And after they didn't update their numbers to reflect Microsoft's 10.4 million announcement, that endorsement was pulled. Besides, any site like this (VGCharts.org, NextGenWars.com, etc) has the same flaw that I outlined. Wait for the official data or else you assume. And you know what happens when you assume.[QUOTE="Hoffgod"][QUOTE="SoulKillah"][QUOTE="Berserker_2"]I dunno...you should go check VGcharts.org then, they have the news!Any way the article your talking about is from 23 hours ago... Why do people love Halo so much?
I owned both Halo 1(Xbox and PC) , and Halo 2...and can't see why people get so excited about the game.
It's not because I'm a Hermit because I got my PC in late 05', while I had the my Xbox and Gamecube well before that.
To tell the truth, I am hard to impress... :D
Â
[QUOTE="Nemme"]Huh ? I think you mean lemmings. They hated it for quite a while because it didn't show 10 million sold when their leader Peter Moore clearly said 10 million sold. (which he even admitted later that 10mil was sold to retailers)Nice, linking vgcharts. The site that was condemened by cows.
