It's official. Mario galaxy is THE best game ever (It's number one on GR)

In my opinion SMG cant be the best game ever just because it really doesent have any kind of killer story, Ill still stick with either Half-Life 2 or OOT as the best ever in my opinion.FancyKetchup25

Mario is more fun then those games and thats all that matters.

No other consoles are graded on the same standardas SMG or any other Wii game either. It is pretty laughable that people now are calling it the best game of all time forgetting that the reviews for other platforms are graded on a different scale. Does it deserve praise? Yes. Potential GOTY? Yes.#1 in gameplay?Possibly. Great artistic style? Of course. But it isn'tfeasible to try and claimit as 'currently greater than all other consoles games' because Wii games would always get knocked technically for things like graphics and sound if reviewed at a 360/PS3/PC standard. That is the only part about gamerankings that annoys me is that people instantly want to lump all the ratings together even though the criteria for reviews are different.jdknight21

Graphics don't make or break a game (unless there horrible to the point it's unplayable). And SMG graphics don't fit that. Hell, there are games back from the SNES era better than games from this gen. Good graphics doens't just make a game good.

Most of us knowthat. Graphics were just an example of what would technically get knocked if all platforms were graded on the same level. Things like graphics and sound can greatly aid/intensify the immersiveness of a game if they benefit great gameplay, though.

They want to rock the car in GTA3 and have chainsaw fests in their games or play what their older relatives are playing. Mature gamers don't actually care about the rating of a game is or how 'cutesy' the character is if the game is fun. The fat plumber lives on with a fairly similar story everytime because getting from point A to point B is so insanely fun. It isn't a nostalgia thing, either.

Super Mario Galaxy is awesome, and thank goddness a game finally came to beat out Halo. People don't need a gun to have a fun experience.
