Because the PC is a mixed up of many companys incudling Sony and MS , theres nobody to claim victory as you would have to give both Sony and MS credit for there successes. And I would take the PS3's library over the 360's any day. But who really cares? I have played plenty of so called "sub HD" games and I can't tell the difference. They look great to me, I think people are just looking to nitpick over nothing to try and justify their purchase.

These are numbers from a tracking firm , there pretty much as accurate as it gets and the last time they reported 70 million sold was in November, which means they were probably counting sales up till about September or October. Meaning they sold 7 miilion worldwide over the holiday season which sounds about right.
