It was pathetic not on Sonys part but consumers as a whole, that fat soccer moms and extreme casuals allowed a console that was 5 years behind current technlogy to sell so well, Unfortiantly for Nintendo that fanbase isnt loyal and the Wii has been dead last the past 3 years and in 2 years will probably be outsold by both the PS3 and 360.

Wii is better then you make it out to be. It had some good exclusives. Better exclusives than the 360, atleast in my opinion and I'm not a "fat soccer mom" and I don't think I'd be anywhere near a gaming message board if I was an "extreme casual". I'm sure there's plenty of wii owners who played the great games it had, Xenoblade for one.

Wii won the gen in sales, gotta own up to it.

Id say about midway through 2014 since the Wii has been dead last in sales worldwide and has no life left. The wii is at around 100 million now the PS3 is at about 77 so thats 23 million gap but the PS3 seems to outsell it by a million or more each month . So i would say mid or late 2014 it have outsold the wii . I dont think the PS4 wil come out untill mid or late next year.

PS brand has a much longer life cycle the PS2 lasted 13 years, the GC lasted 5. The PS3 will probalby last the same while the Wii wont make it past 2013 , its not rocket science troll but neither was it to figure out the PS3 would outsell the 360 which it did.
