This pretty much beats everything from last gen, even from Xbox. So can we please stop saying the Wii is "last gen"? (Even though technology has nothing to do with gaming gens). It will just sound foolish, like 90% of the crap spewed out in SW.SMR-Venom

Technically, i dont think theres any denying it, but i still think DOAU looks better. Buts thats just a personal preference really.

Im just really excited to see what the Zelda team has to show us. At the moment, they could do pratically anything and il be excited. There is just one thing that deep inside me that scares the hell out of me. And thats the next Zelda will be on-rails or something similar. Its 90% likely it wont but i've just felt this since 07, really hope im wrong.

The game looks fun but so blurry i can't see ****. This game would be so much better on pc/360/ps3 but no they have to release it on GC1.2.......what a shame.Syferonik

That actually makes me feel better. But there was this one quote before TP came out where Miyamoto said this will be the last zelda in this form. That said, it could be ANYTHING but i just cant shake this on-rails feeling. The whole game or part of it.

Like i said, i really really hope im wrong.

Yeah, I was pretty impressed when I heard this was a Wii game. I'm glad the Zelda team is feeling the pressure as they should : )

I have a question for you -Oath since you've already played it. How did they do loading in Monster Hunter 3? Is there a load screen every time you go to a new area or something like that?

Hm. I play on an old CRTV because I don't like how the Wii looks on my LCD. Maybe I'll get some component cables and hook it back up to the LCD if it really improves the image that much.Cherokee_Jack

Indeed, but its not that bad. Take care of your disc, dust out your disc drive and you looking at 2-3 seconds of loading between areas tops.

This game does look impressive visually but I will not get hyped until I see good reviews coming in.

Its great so far, visuals are very easy on the eyes, dragons and other monsters are VERY detailed, combos are even better than the last games as the animations last longer and are smoother, armors and weapons are more detailed as well and there are way more of them than the last games and the difficulty is the same as the previous installments, slaying gargantuan dragons has never been so satisfying! Especially on a 37" LCD :D

Graphics impress me more on the wii and ds than other platforms.
It's because i know what they work with.
Even crysis on pc didn't impress me as much as Wario land on the wii for example.
Wario land had interesting animations and really cool music, effects and backdrops. In crysis i was like 'yeah it looks prettier, i guess, but it doesn't really do anything to me.' Except the player having a shadow. It's the first time i saw a shadow of my character in an FPS, that was pretty sweet.

I never played the PSP ones but Monster Hunter for the PS2 was amazing online.

What those graphics don't really show you however is the load times between areas, the fugly HUD and menu screens, the slight blurriness to everthing (or so it seems from the vids I have watched), the pretty rubbish shadows, the slow clumsy looking controls, and other little things like that.

Sure the art direction is impressive but I still don't think I'm really going to be impressed with this game overall when all is said and done.

That's just my take on it anyway.
