Japan Gets Xbox 360 Last Remnant Bundle

You've got to hand it to MS for having no quit what so ever in cracking Japan for themselves. Looks like a sweet bundle and I hoping they offer a sweet Gears 2 or Banjo N&B bundle here in the states and I may just upgrade and give my old 360 to a family member. :)

You think this is going to be a big seller in Japan ? I know it's a game on my radar.

Microsoft has announced a limited edition Last Remnantpremium bundle for Japan. The Square Enix game is actually multi-plat, but no PS3 release date has been announced as of yet. This Microsoft bundle includes the Xbox 360 console, 60GB HDD, a faceplate, a premium soundtrack and a copy of the game. Retails for ¥34,800 (US$331) and goes on sale November 20th.

Oh and I may have mislead in the OP when hoping for a Gears or Banjo bundle without saying I would love this bundle as well. :)

I don't plan on buying any of those games you listed for this holiday season. There are other people just like myself out there that will be more interested in Last Remnant then Gears 2. If a JRPG breaks 500k that is it selling really well. It is holiday season so game purchases will be going up.

They aren't all gonna rush out and play LR. Lets face it, not every 360 owner likes jrpg. The install base in US are gonna by games that appeal to them. Last Remnant is a JRPG. That is what I was saying, if it doesn't sell well it is not because the 360's fault, but because it is a genre that overall doesn't have too much appeal outside Japan.

Last Remnant is a JRPG. That is what I was saying, if it doesn't sell well it is not because the 360's falut, but because it is a genre that overall doesn't have too much appeal outside Japan.

Yes, I can afford and it would bring a ear to ear smile to a certain family member if I were to upgrade and GIVE my 360 away. Sheesh !

Vesperia moved 24000 and did 110k opening week, before the price drop and NOT during the holiday season.

That prediction is very well in the realm of possibility. After all, who would have predicted that 360 would outsell PS3 in september 08 3 years ago? The impossible is starting to be possible in japan lately.

First the romanized word for the Japanese language is Nihongo (Althought Nipponggo is right, but more Nihon Jin use Nihongo but it would just be easier to say "in Japanese").

Also this is probably not aimed at the people who owns a PS3 (IIRC the PS3 has around 2 million units sold, that isn't most of the people in Japan). It is aimed at the people who don't own a PS3/360 and wants Last Remnant, and the price would be nice deal.

Fifa bundled with 360 = Win for Euro

Right, and then you look at the subsequent new IPs that were released after Blue Dragon and they couldn't replicate the success. Look at Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, and Infinite Undiscovery.
