Yep.  Let's call it "Western" games, as Europe and the US are making similar games nowadays.  There's a big difference between Gears of War and Final Fantasy, not so much Doom3 and Crysis.

Half-Life, Battlefield, Metroid Prime, and Oblivion are all American games, so I'm voting that.

So you hate Metal Gear Solid, Zelda, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry? Ok. For me easily Japanese developed games, but I like some western stuff like Gears of WAr and God of War.

 Actually, yes. I don't hate those games per se, some of them are even American in style. I would not buy any of those games if they came out for the 360.

I'm sorry you don't like my opinion.

Both. Both the america and japanese games have their strong and average points. In america, we get the thrilling experiences like the legacy of kain series and max payne, while we also get just average game experiences like halo and rachet & clank. In japan, you got the thrilling games such as the metal gear series and virtua fighter games, then you get average japanese games like *most of the recent ones anyways* final fantasy and gundam.

i voted for Japanese games, since european wasnt up there, which i do not understand, since the majority of western games COME OUT OF EUROPE including Grand theft auto, america hardly makes any decent new game anymore, twisted metal remains my fav american game the way i see it though 1. Japanese 2. European 3. Canadian 4. American in that exact order, im sorry but i need to see american developers make more, new, innovative, games they've fallen far behind

It really doesn't matter for me at all, what really matters is the quality of each game that each region does. With that all said I am leaning more to American becuase of their role playing game such as Knight of the Old Republic and of course anything that is remotely related to Star Wars that is good. Another main attraction for me is Madden, just can't get enough of the franchise mode even though I preferred the 2K series more.

western games for me, i have some japanese games but overall i lost a lot of the affection i used to feel for Japanese games

except knights of the old republic isnt american. lol canadian =/= american, and im sure they'd disagree if you called them american
