i think the most obvious thing is that lemmings have just left SW, rather than staying and desperately trying to convince everyone the 360 is somehow winning 09 when it clearly isnt, unlike cows in 06-07 i might add.

There sure is no lack of cows here that's for certain. :Pi think the most obvious thing is that lemmings have just left SW, rather than staying and desperately trying to convince everyone the 360 is somehow winning 09 when it clearly isnt, unlike cows in 06-07 i might add.

Well it's system wars and the cows can brag over their great year.
In the real world it's minor and still says more about MS that they have turned the God like PS brand and consoles from the PS 1 and 2... into this.
It's not the PS3 that has brought down the almighty 360, it's the 360 which brought down the almighty PS BRAND and the PS3. Now the PS3 has caught up to the 360s level.
The fact they are level says more about MS.
Both consoles look pretty equal now.

Are you being sarcastic? Every time somethings not going the cows way, half of them disappear.
There is two good reasons.
For one, all of the high rated exclusives and great games that have been released for the PS3, none of them have staying power. Sales are good the first month or 2 and then they are forgotten (check the sales of KZ2, Infamous etc.).
Secondly, if you look back at most of the PS3 exclusives, they don't, with a few exceptions, have good replay value. So after eight hours or so of playing "teh gr8est game evah", the fanboys are back trolling the forums.
For all of the great games the PS3 has, either they are niche (LBP, MGS4) have low replay value (UC, iNfamous) or too small communities for sustained online play (KZ2, Socom).
Sales: Uncharted 2.5 million, MotorStorm 3.5 million, GT5p 3 million, Rfom 3.5 million, mgs4 4.2 million, LBP 2.4 million, KZ2 2 million, R2 1.6 million, R&C:tod 1.5 million, Infamous 900,000, Socom 888,000. And some of those sales haven't been updated for quite some time actually like Socom has been at that number for about 6-8 months if I'm correct. VGchartz don't show when their numbers were last updated anymore. Halo3, 10 million, Geow 5 million, Gears2 5 million, Forza 2 4 million, Fable 2 3 million, L4D 2 million, Mass Effect 2 million, Dead Rising 1.7 million, Halo Wars 1.5 million, Viva Pinata 1.5 million. Ok only Halo 3 really stands out in comparison to Ps3 games sales. And if anything the ps3 sales look pretty awesome across the board when you think of the user base size of the ps3 compared to the 360. So don't bring game sales up in this lol. And your last statement well is just not even worth talking about. Especially when you end it saying can't sustain a online community and mention Socom or even KZ2. I now know of 7 guys that haven't touched their 360 for literally a year since BUYING a ps3 just for Socom. Lets talk about online play. If you aren't playing during peak hours, you will not find quality matches, I know this from first hand experience. This is with exclusives as well as the most popular multiplats (COD4, WAW, UFC, SFIV etc.) "7 guys" is not a stat worth mentioning, that is reaching. You listed all of these sales numbers, but nothing says that these games are still being played. Other than RFoM, KZ2, R2 and Socom, you cannot tell if the games are being played. Those that I listed, have weak online communities, which indicates that they are not being played or that the online component is not worth playing (which I would disagree with). Socom is relegated to players from last gen who are die hard Socom fans, like the "7 guys" you know. All in all, the great PS3 games have little replay value and are shelved after a shorter period of time than the most popular 360 games. Seriously, how many times are you going to play through a game that has 30 minute cut scenes or how long are you going to spend looking for trinkets in a vast jungle ruin setting? That is not fun PERIOD:lol: dude you just killed your argument right there. Both games still have a large community behind them.Hell you've never played Socom or Killzone 2 online so how would you even know that? There is two good reasons.

I have played both...Socom was a broken mess and KZ2 just wasn't my cup of tea. The times I am usually available to play are times when most Americans are sleeping. I find myself playing online against hawaiians or Europeans. The playlists for KZ2, COD4 and WAW are very thin compared to COD4, WAW and Halo/Gears on Live. While during peak hours, you may easily find a match, off peak, not so much. You should try it.[QUOTE="tbolt76"]

im sure it wont hurt the lemms now  :)
after all what goes around comes around!
enough to compete against ps3's 2010 lineup yes :)meh, the rants ebb and flow on system wars. right now, the PS3 is on a hot streak. however, 2010 looks very promising for the 360.

enough to compete against ps3's 2010 lineup yes :) a lot of that is opinion. the only thing that really interests me for PS3 in 2010 is GOW3. however, i'm looking forward to more titles on either 360 or 360/PC that year. crackdown 2 alone puts the 360 ahead in 2010 for me.[QUOTE="Rockman999"] dude you just killed your argument right there. Both games still have a large community behind them.Hell you've never played Socom or Killzone 2 online so how would you even know that? Did you just call LBP and MGS4 niche?
People keep mentioning that 06-07 the xbox fan boys were constantly talking smack about the PS3 (even though it was pretty much everyone that didn't own a PS3). The problem with this is even in those years the PS3 fanboys were already talking a lot of smack. In fact the ps3 fanboys never shut up. It's always the P0W3R of the Cell. PS3 blueRay gives better gRafixS.
Seriously, they have the smallest pop but yet they never shut up.In the past, around 50% of the threads were PS3 fanboys talking out of their ass. Now that they finally have a legitmate reason too... it's becoming almost unbearable... And PS3 is the only console I own.

I mean, one could make the argument based on the way their acting now that it wasn't worth having the High priced PS3 through the years and only now does it make more sense to maybe buy one.
Well everything said about the 360 is true and this late in it's lifespan it should not be this weak. All the have to offer now is Forza,Halo,Fable,Crackdown and LL4D.Nothing new, nothing creative and nothing interesting.Instead of paying for 3rd party games to come to their console,MS should have done what Sony did and invest in first/second party games. Now all they talk about is DLC,mulriplat games and Natal. What happned to the 360 being the PS2 of this generation? HAHAHA that was BS.

Meaning few/no glitchers and people who understand/play the objective game modes as they are ment to be played, which are what I like to play. I loathe TDM.
I think that PS3 fans have the right to be excited about the fact that their system finally has some momentum going. Either way, every system has a bad year. This year was bad for the 360. The whole first year and a half was really tough for PS3 owners. And let's face it, the Wii hasn't had a good game since may of last year when they got Mario Kart. I think Microsoft put out Halo games this year to hold people over for next year. Next year is going to be crazy for games. And when I say that, I mean for all 3 systems! :)
