me and him we'r the same, i played my ps3 more than i did with any other console ever, THE best console this gen..for me its #1 then ps2 comes after

well it's no secret that the majority thinks of the ps3 as an inferior console compared to the 360. carmack is just one of the majority.

People can argue about which systems in history have had better games, but I'll say one thing about the PS3 and 360: they certainly seem to have longevity on the market. Old as they may be, no one is talking about phasing them out and everybody wants to develop for them.

I'll probably say that by the end of this gen, but for right now I feel the gamecube is the second best console evah.

I think Dreamcast is great for that time.... but Final fantasy 8 killed dreamcast at that time for releasing on the same date 9.9.99 in north amerika..... as for 360 vs ps3.... who cares about developer because the most important is the consumer who pays for it.....hippiesanta

Where are people getting Carmack said the 360 is the best console ever? All I remember him stated was that he likes deveoping for it more (he even said it was weaker than the PS3.)

Eh, John is forever stealing my lines since it comes from me saying 360 is now the #1 replacing the previous #1, Dreamcast though always happy to see him agree with me. :P
