Anyway yeah simpler architecture and API beats out complicated power any day. It's easier to burn wood for power than to tap into some uranium.

There is marginal seperation, but honestly, who cares? PS3 has more exclusives.

Because he was working on id tech 5, not showing it off. Now that it's mostly completed and their first game of it is comming out, it's time to show off it's muscle.

It's John Carmack...the guy who created FPSes that we all love so much these days. The guy who's engine from 1999 is still being used in blockbusters like CoD.

Why would you even compare Killzone 3 to Rage? Rage is much more open than Killzone...

Carmack is the Steve Jobs of game developers. A pioneer in the industry, and a pace setter. Love him, or hate him people listen to him when he talks. So with a new game coming out the media is sitting with baited breath listening for every nugget of wisdom he says.
