Not every game  is a big seller. Just be cause it later became GoTY doesn't mean it's a game a lot of guys or kids will buy and play, which are what mostly own PS3s. The game was very well done, but doesn't appeal to those groups very much.

Spending 6 years on a $15 downloadable game isn't a good business model.

I would ask people to at least read this so they don't speak completely out of their arse.

The real question is; Would these games (along with many other exclusives) have had a chance under any other company? From investment into collage students and extended development times, that amount of latitude granted was staggering.

I would like the economic scholars of SW to explain to me how Sony's investment in these guys was somehow exploitative.

Do you know if they went to MS and/or Nintendo and got turned down?

You really cant say that for sure. Truth is, HS had lots of hype because it was a potential AAA exclusive of a console that was struggling to find killer apps. And it was helped by Sony both in funding as in marketing. If it was released as a multiplat, without sonys marketing or the hype of being an exclusive, and it could actually sell worse than it did now

This is disappointing to hear.  

I would've considered buying this game if it was on a platform available to me. If they went exclusive, they should've went atleast PC. Bigger install base and that platform has better support for indie games.
