Journey deserves the praise its get and it nice that it has been nominated (even through I still not a fan of VGA). The game is such a masterpiece and I can't wait to seethatgamecompany next game.

Sounds like some PR tool overhyping the fvck out of a crappy game and drawing randoming metaphors from a non existent premise.

I found journey *add tons of verys here* boring. Also i never pay attention to the VGAs hell a cod character won best character of the year when the rest of picks actually had personalties.

The most over-rated game since Shadow of the Colossus, I love Shadow of the Colossus, it is actually an amazing game though (and actually deserved a lot of its praise[even if the praise was given for all of the wrong reasons], but dang was it over-rated).

The event is held at Sony Pictures Studios so of course they'll want their only good exclusive to win awards this year

Maybe compared to the piece of sh1t exclusive line up for PS3 this year, but compared to other games it's actually very mediocre.

It was a pretty decent game from what I've played. Don't know why people call it pretentious simply because it's attempting something different. Heavy Rain was a crappy pretentious game from Sony. Journey is exactly what it is, a great game.

Still, Halo 4 is my GOTY

(Update: Im sorta tweaking the topic) So we all know the vga 2012 GOTY nominations. But i want to take a finer focus on the most interesting aspect of the vga nominations. That a 2 hour downloadable indie game has more nominations than any huge blockbuster this year If you look at all the categories for the vga awards, count them up. Journey has SEVEN, THATS RIGHT, SEVEN NOMINATIONS! The biggest nomination being for GOTY, an honor not even halo 4 apparently earned (and i find odd) Personally, I am absolutely thrilled. For me, Journey was a once in a life time gaming experience, one of the most memorable things ive ever played. Beautiful the point it made my eyes teary! So i personally think Journey deserves this much recognition! I actually want to ask an interesting question about this....what does this reality say about 2012? Is this an insult to the year, that it stunk so much that the best game was only 2 hours long?! Or is this fact simply a testament to how incredible Journey is??ms555

It only means that the game is good at what it does

Journey is not a game, so it may be good at doing nothing and be a good zen thing for relaxation, but you cant directly compare it to actual games at all

It is same as sying wonderbook is a game, these are simply not games

Journey is amazing, well deserved.
