Last fiscal year (April 1, 2009-March 31, 2010) the PS3 outsold the 360 worldwide by 4.2 million units. That most certainly takes into consideration the UK and US's holiday season.[QUOTE="sts106mat"]what dont you get? the uk market is the second largest market for VG after the US. The end.delta3074
The interesting question then is, are 360 year-over-year sales increasing faster than the PS3's? The answer is an emphatic no, in all regions. That means the PS3 is on-track to outselling the 360 by an even larger amount this fiscal year unless something changes.

Also I just realised your link isn't actually sales data, it's anecdotal reports from a single retailer. :/
Hypothetically lets say the PS3 does catch up to the X360. They needed basically an entire region to themselves (Japan) to make it happen with 5X the install base last generation. No matter what happens, Sony was outplayed hard this generation. Imagine if RROD happened to PS3 instead of X360. Woulda been an absolute massacreshadow8585i honestly believe that the RROD is one a major factor in why 360 sales are so high....

It depends if where talking Europe or UK. Europe I think PS3 outsells it overall. I think UK might be kinda more towards 360 a little bit, while 360 is heavily NA and PS3 is heavily JP. Really, sales are sales, so why does it matter? why are American sales more important then Europe sales?
The difference in the end of this generation will be minimal, does not matter which passes what, PS3 and 360 will be extremely close in numbers when this generation is over and that is what matters, all gamers win tooX360 outsold the PS3 by 40,000 units on the May NPD.
X360 S releases in June and sells out everywhere.
The majority of sales left this gen are going to be to casuals (Madden, COD, GTA players) and casuals like the lower-priced, less-accesorized, more gamer-orientated X360.
If you disagree, explain to me how/why/what is going to happen to cause the PS3 to somehow pass the X360 in sales this gen

me from 2005 to 2008: idc that the 360 will be in last place it's still a good system and i enjoy it.
me from 2009 til now: idc that the ps3 will be in last place it's still a good system and i enjoy it.
popularity does not concern me the games i get to play do.
anyway as i have said a zillion times before caring about the battle for 3rd place behind pc and wii seems a bit silly.
Perhaps there a bunch of Sony and Microsoft shareholder in this forum. Unless one of them goes out of business, I could care less about sales. Both have good sales. Both have fun games. End of discussion.Again, why does it need to? To appease fanboys?
XboximusPrime
Microsoft's console last generation: distant second place.
Microsoft's console this generation: distant second place.
Fanboys will be proud of anything, I guess.
