Not really. Value is the amount of features/performance per $$. Preferences do not dictate value otherwise the Wii would be considered much more valuable than PS3 just because so many more people prefer it, however that's not the case.I've been under the assumption that there is 2 types of value. The most common one is the one that isn't the same for every individual. It changes from person to person based on preference and desire. Then I assume there is something like market value or product value where it is measured up against its features and components. But preference does play a role in value as far as I know since it varies person to person.
