So all we've seen from Forza 3 are pre-race race shots/videos? I'm going to bed. Ya'll have a good 4th of July, and watch the NASCAR race, it's going to be wicked.
Geeze, that game gets worse the more I see it. So much for Forza having the best environments.aaronmullanOfc Forza3 doesnt have besnt environments in racers....PGR4 and Burnout Paradise have....but it still looks way better than GT5p...in fact even backgrounds in FM2 do..
Is that real!!! There is were Forza stuck. They give good looking 3d gfx but instead of making them look like this pic, those get a cartoonish look. Is the color paint the problem or the reflections?! I don't know![QUOTE="Epoq"]
Well then, let's take a look at a screenshot from GT5 shall we?
Jrfanfreak88
someone should also tell the guys developing forza that brake discs very very very rarely get that bright during the day. NASCAR brakes are easy to see at night on the short tracks but during the day you never see them glow like that.Jrfanfreak88
you obviously didnt see the Ferrari ZXX going around the Top Gear track on sunday you could quite clearly see the brake discs glowing just like in forza, buy the way its a stunning car

Show me a sim racer that has better? yeah that's right there are none.

In a real track there are not 10 groups of pebbles repeating all over the place. I honestly dont want to look like a cow because i have loved every forza game, but Gt5 seems to be getting the speedway tracks right and this is Prolouge said to be "a glorified demo". But still im quite sure that those textures in Forza have at least a chance to be fixed.
Thats a horrible example, I would much rather mack Adriana Lima than some nerdy chick who was smart and grew up into a good looking chick but no Adriana Lima :PThis is how I see the GT Vs Forza thing-
GT- Is like some model. She has always got by on her looks and never had to worry about anything else. In the end the model is all looks and no substance.
Forza -Is the nerdy girl in high school that grew into a hottie. She always had tons of brains and was not ugly but not a full blown hottie. Several years later though the zits are gone, the braces on her teeth are off and she has become a hottie, She still has all the brains just the looks to go with it.
GT looks great but same as Forza. Forza also looks great but same as GT Forza also can add to the list better customization, better A.I., better damage, better physics, better car trading and so on.

[QUOTE="MizFitAwesome"]No my complaint is that Forza 3 is said to have the most realistic environments ever seen yet they are missing the most essential item that makes them seem more real. If fans weren't important why do we see them in every other sports game out there? The most intoxicating thing about being at a race are the spectators. Do you know what it is like to be in a race track full of 200,000 people, all standing, and cheering so loud that they are louder than the 43 800hp cars on the track? You and everyone else can care less about fans being in the game, but the fact is that in real life without fans the tracks, teams, drivers, and races do not exist. I'm not insecure at all about GT. It has NASCAR in it, what more could I possibly want?So obviously you areadmitting that GT fans are worried more aboutstyle over substance. When I play a racing sim, I race. I'm not worried about what's in the stands. BTW, if you try to look closely at the 'fans' in most sports games, they look like cardboard cutouts, so why would anyone really care about something so meaningless? You GT fans sure are the most insecure bunch...
Jrfanfreak88
Am I the only one in here seeing the irony of a GT fan lecturing about realism in a racing game? No one cares about no spectators , if you're spending your time looking in the stands then your game is obviously boring. Then again, it is GT...
Geeze, that game gets worse the more I see it. So much for Forza having the best environments.aaronmullan
You realize that they just release screens of less interesting looking tracks recently? That has nothing to do with environment graphics getting worse, these tracks look unspectacular in reality.
[QUOTE="Epoq"]

Uh oh, WHERE ARE THE SPECTAORS?!? *wets pants*
:pJrfanfreak88
GT5P has spectators at this track. Find me a picture or movie of Forza 3 gameplay that has fans and I'll give you a cookie ;)
Yes. And sand does look like repeating textures, does it?[QUOTE="aaronmullan"]
[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"] Have you been to a track?Camer999
They could fix it by release, doesn't GT have repeating textures?
If it does, then I'll make fun of it, too. You seem to think I'm a cow for the sole reason I'm making fun of Forza.[QUOTE="Camer999"][QUOTE="aaronmullan"] Yes. And sand does look like repeating textures, does it?

Look at the clouds and the grass the textures are higher rez, when looking out the stuff out at the distance look clearer, there is even a ferris wheel on the FM3 pic and none in the FM2 pick.

There is one in the distance of the Forza 2 pic. It's just really far in the distance.[QUOTE="Gta3-fan334"]Are you kidding? FM3 obviously has higher resolution textures and better AA. Well, yeah. Graphically, Forza 3 is Forza 2 HD with AA, better lighting, and better textures at times running at a higher FPS. People still claim that you're blind if you can't see the improvements. Well, I do see a lot of improvement, Forza 3 definitely looks better. But, based on the bullshots from both games, Forza 3 doesn't look that much better than Forza 2. In these shots, most of the time, Forza 2 for w/e reason has AA, which we know is off, lol. Also, Forza 3 has noticeably better lighting and only slightly better textures in the screenshots. If you REALLY want to see the clear difference between them, all you have to do is look at Forza 3 gameplay. The screenshots you see comparing Forza 2 and 3 aren't a "jump to the next gen differences" AT ALL. When you actually watch high quality video gameplay, then you see how much more improved it is.

I took those comparo pics, between forza 2 and three,
It's obvious they are using closethe same track models, but upping the texture resolution, and draw distance quite a bit.
Turn 10 has said that this time around they're gonna make more fantasy tracks, becouse they feel they can do more with them to make them look good.
But hey, If reuseing of a couple already great track models means we get a huge game like this in 2 years, I'll take it. Especially seince they are improved a bit.

Environments still look bland, and yeah, I can't believe I didn't realize that there weren't any people in the stands.:? I wonder how this will look in actual gameplay, though.NYrockinlegendbecause we all play racing games to look at people in the stands :roll:

I have to agree, most of the lemmings are being hypocritical. We defended fm2 until FM3 and we are bashing FM2 now it is funny. I still think FM2 is on par with GT5:P, technically.
I don't know how to describe the artstyle of Forza 3. The enviroments look very nice, but it's not on the realisitic side. I can definitely tell it's a video game from looking at those shots. I wouldn't mind though, I don't stare at the environment when I'm playing racing games. As long as the enviroment doesn't look bad enough to distract, it doesn't really matter much

Haha, that is why I am always nice to ugly chicks now, I have learned my lesson, so many "meh" looking girls I knew growing up are soooooo hot now, it is ridiculous.

Gah, I might be a GT fan but I play many other racing games. I've even been published in the now dead OPM magazine for complaining about the GT series lack of damage. You're still ignoring my point though AND why in the heck are you here responding to me when I'm talking about the race environments? If you love just focusing on the road and nothing else then that's your opinion, fine, but I happen to be talking about the stuff you don't care to be looking at. As I said twice before, if everyone thought like you did then all of the other sports games would have empty stadiums during events.Please Log In to post.
