Well, to be fair, the Gran Turismo series has been released 10 times (yes, counting all the spinoffs and "prologues")in the span of 9 years it's been out.

I hate fanboys, if its on xbox even if its crap its good same as PS3, now I played Forza on my friends xbox360 its a nice racing sim but nothing can ever touch Gran Turismo 3 A spec when that came out, I could not believe my eyes especially on replays how good everything looked and how long it lasted, took me a year and a half to finish it, I expect Polyphony digital to wow people again when GT5 comes out, and to end this argument Forza has nothing on Gran Turismo series yet, we will see maybe GT5 sucks.

But the prologues still exist.

GT5 Prologue, just like all of the othersis marketed and sold as a full game, sales have nothing to do with it, good or bad.

But let's compare the two based on the official sequels.

The Forza series has been released on an "every two years" timetable. (Forza 2005, Forza 2 2007, Forza 3, 2009)

Gran Turismo, before its fourth iteration released on the same timetable (GT 1998, GT2 2000, GT3 2001)

Soif Forza can be seen as being "milked"the GT series can be as well. Don't forget, Turn 10 could easily take a break between Forza 3 and 4 like PD did between GT3 and 4...

As an ex-Sony follower, I used to think the GT franchise was the best racing sim out there.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that GT's graphics have absolutely wiped the floor with Forza. But I was uttterly stunned at how realistic the handling and physics were in Forza 2. Going back to play a GT game, I find it hard to believe gamers even call GT a sim. It's handling is practically identical to PGR4; which people call an arcade racer.

What about GT is so sim like? Aside from the customization, I think it's much more comparable to PGR4 on all fronts than it is to Forza.

It won't. Polyphony Digital used the full potential of the PS3 just like Naughty Dog did with Uncharted.

Again, if all that cows are going to tout about GT5 are its graphics, it essentially supports my view that most cows truly don't have a grasp of what a real racing sim is or should be.

If you simply want to talk about pretty textures and polygons, compare GT to PGR4 and make a day of it.

I can definitely say that Forza opened my eyes to what a racing sim actually is.

Only playing the GT franchise on the PS platform, I didn't realize how low my standards were when it came to handling, physics, gameplay and realistic customization.

Very TRUE becuase the PS3 has hardly any good games so this should be some kind of saving grace for the fanboys to accept there $$$600 purchase.

It's not so huge for 360 becuase the dang gone system just has so many dang gone great games it's not even funny. Not to mention already 3 great racing games.

When Gran Tourismo 1st Came out It had no Competition So it was automatically given the title of best racing sim. It Also had the protection of Grand Theft Auto, SmackDown, Devil May Cry, And Resident Evil. Now things Have changed and Gran Tourismo is really going to have to stand on its own 2 feet. and there is Forza waiting for it. Gran Tourismo is just now getting into online gaming while Forza was Born into online racing. Gran Tourismo Even if it is the best racing title will not be ahead of Forza enough to close the gap between Ps3 and 360. I also Think Forza Really Want the title of being best racing Sim and wants a head to head shot at GT5 so it can say i'm the best. Sony has been tryin to avoid this showdown to hide the fact that they can't compete with xbox online capabilities. Xbox 360 did it's part by taking away the shields from PS3's GT5. Devil May Cry, Grand Theft, Smackdown, and Resident Evil will appear on both consoles making the consumer choose between just Forza or GT5. i mean Both systems have exclusives but if u do that then xbox 360 already won that round then.
