that's what first grabbed me man it's like watchign a real movie man.

It is a fantastic game, awesome story, awesome gameplay, and awesome graphics. it is a tad short but the game is so awesome i dont care i am glad i own this game

dude god of war is so repetitive...heavenly sword has so many combos and to me it just looks better then god of war the way she does it.oh and btw did i mention the graqphics are insane? best on ps3 yet.

I beat the entire last level of heavenly sword on hard mode tapping only the....triangle button..

WTH makes you think mediocre gameplay and a great story is better than a game with SUBERB gameplay? The best in the genre infact? If you value the story so much more than the gameplay then you should go read a book or watch a good movie.

maybe medicore gameplay to you but i like this game way more then sigma. yeah sigma has some cool weapons but it just gets old fast and story is meh.

your surprised by this why? cows made a huge deal about it when it was announcd gears of war's storymode would last you 10 hours on easy...were you expecting a different treatment with this game?

im not, its just a shame that Heavenly Sword will be overeshadowed and put down for being short when in reality its one of the most beautiful games ive ever played...

The charachters are truly amazing, this game makes you FEEL, i almost got a lil choked up at the end and that hasnt happened this MGS3...

Hell Mode is a BLAST, and is def a sweet spot for anyone who thtought the first playthrough was too easy...

HS is a GREAT game

some people were playing HS at my local game store just afew hours ago. from what I HAVE SEEN..the gameplay looks abit..boring. i dont know if this was because the guy playing it was a button masher or something,but watching him play made the game look very bland and boring. A.I is another thing i noticed.. i dont know if the game was on easy or hell mode,but those badguys clearly wanted to get their asses kicked since they werent moving half the time. aside from the problems i have with the game..the graphics and audio were very good..made me wish Ninja gaiden had something like that.

but im sure ninja gaiden 2 will be a much more harder game. :wink:

trust me, Hell Mode is the ONLY way to experiance heavenly sword

i heard if you pop in halo3 and try to play it on easy; your 360 will explode:P

no heavenly sword is alot alot harder then ninja gaiden, the boss fights in heavenly sword are absolutly rediculous

i am just saying i have played them both and i think heavenly sword is so much better then warhawk.

I can tell many of you havent played HS yet! If you actually did, you would be impressed by some facet of the game wether its combat, story, graphics and especially the scale of the battles.People who play this game do play it on "Hell Mode" after the first time. Its that fun...

self owned, of course it was easy. And NGS was made slightly easier than the xbox versions.

New enemies pop up when you play the hard mode. Your ignorance is laughable.

And I wouldnt be suprised if the hell mode in HS is the samething with more agressive enemies and a longer health bar. Samething with GOW or POP...

Bingo! You just proved you know nothing about the game. NG is nothing like GoW when it comes to harder difficulties, yes their health does increase but the tactics they use, and the frequency and ferocity at which they use them is also a large part of playing NG on harder difficulties. Also, you can't fight particular enemies (fire ninja, doppleganger) on normal mode, you must fight them on harder difficulties.

I seriously doubt you played it on hard mode. If you did you would have found out from the jump that the enemies are testing your skill by using different tactics to kill you. You cant fight the same way you would on normal mode.

Tell me, whats the first few enemies you fight on hard mode and what weapons do you start with?

If I want to watch a movie I'll go to the Theater. I'll just rent this game. No way I can justify a 7 hour experience with $60.

Just started playing HS last night. It is a gorgeous game. But it doesn't hold a candle to GOW or GOW2. But then again GOW is one of my all-time favorite games ever. That game had me captivated. I would stumble home drunk at 3-4 am, turn on my projector and play the game drunk.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma I played about an hour and returned. Yeah with no story and great gameplay it didn't do it for me. I didn't know what the hell I was playing for, no end to justify the means, so to speak. With work and play, not much time for games and movies, so it's all a rental to me IMO. Only games I purchase are multiplayer i.e. Warhawk. I don't play a game twice no time to. Games from Gamefly and movies from Netflix sit on my desk for weeks sometimes.

But back on topic it's so far a beautiful game, good gameplay (it can be a button masher or you can learn the combos) and good story. Nariko is digital eye candy. That's it. Not better than GOW.

OMG heavenly sword looks better!!?? your kiddin!? a PS3 game looking better than a PS2 game... wow... what an argument.

As for battle system and story, sure HS has its moments, but its not epic by any means. GoW deserves its rank as one of the best PS2 games. HS does not.

And even if HS > GoW, shouldn't that be how it should be? PS3 games SHOULD be better than PS2 games, if not..... wow does sony suck.

People seem to not know there is a Hell Mode in which you can get ur arse wiped in the first missions that are a cake in normal mode, plus getting all 129 unlockables. I've played the game for like 9 hours and only begun playing Hell Mode and dont even have half the unlockables-L-U-I-S-

soometimes i wander if you people are playing the same games as me... i haven't played gow2 yet but from what i played in heavenly sword it's almost a rip of gow but she has more combos to me and of course the game is just beautiful. on the subject of ninja gaiden's and heavenly sword's stories..(spoilers here)they are both similar.. evil guy is after sword/evil guy takes sword... evil guy attacks village/evil guy attacks castle... hero saves people in both.. hero fights baddies... but heavenly sword just tells the story in so much of abetter context.
