Dosen't sound too different than most other devs who work exclusively with MS on projects.
The money attracts devs but when finally working with people in MS, something happens where they don't feel appreciated and their vision is not respected.
Business as usual with MS. Don't know why lems are calling him names this is NOTHING new. Go down the list of devs who have vocally had issues with MS when trying to work on a game and wanted to cut all ties after the project is finished and that list would be mighty long. Kamiya was MS's last chance. This will probably be the best, but also last big XB1 exclusive it sees this gen outside of internal studios.
Will you make that list of Dev's for me

How Microsoft is trying—but failing—to court indie game developers
“I don’t like how Microsoft is restricting PC development with the Windows app store,” said Cavanagh."
"Some indie game developers don't like Microsoft's business philosophy, while others haven't had access to the development tools they need."
"Financially, it’s difficult to understand why developers are shunning Windows devices, as Microsoft offers a more generous revenue sharing agreement than either Apple or Google."

MS forcing devs to charge for DLC
Sweeney said, "We already released two [maps] and we have four more maps that we've built. We've been wanting to give them away for a long time but actually Microsoft has been pushing back on us for that. They're trying to build this business model around selling additional content for games and that's a valid idea, but definitely we would like to release more stuff for free, and we haven't been able to do so -- yet. Which is unfortunate, there's a lot of good business reasons for releasing free content for a game."
"He says there are simple business philosophies separating Epic and Microsoft.
After our conversation, Rein posted a statement on the Evil Avatar forum, sending a copy to Joystiq, which said in part, "Quite frankly Xbox Live Marketplace isn't our store. It's Microsoft's store....Rein says both Epic and Microsoft want to make money, they just have different philosophies on how to do it. Epic believes in giving content away for free, building the user base of their product by adding value after initial purchase."

Phantom Dust dev collapsed under Microsoft's demands - report
"Phantom Dust developer Darkside Game Studios have attributed the company's collapse to unreasonable demands made by Microsoft.
based on the testimony of five former Darkside employees - has exposed some important details about how that relationship deteriorated.
Phantom Dust was to be Darkside's first attempt at making its own game after years of contributing to other developers' projects. A deal for a multiplayer-only version of Phantom Dust - "along the lines of Hearthstone and League of Legends" - was struck, with the budget set at $5 million. Just one week later, Microsoft suggested a change of plan.
"They decided that fans were gonna want a single-player game,"one source said. "But they weren't going to change the budget or the timeframe."
In the months to follow, Microsoft moved the goalposts on "a nearly monthly basis," and generally in a direction that required more staff and more time."
