Ah, OK. So me saying GTAIV and Pokemon is totally wrong then, lol.

I think Haze (PS3, 360, PC) will be doing tournaments, and you already have most of the others listed.

Mass Effect, Crysis, Hellgate: London, BioShock, GTA IV..

Im begining to suspect that most posters here dont understand the competitive side to gaming.3

Edit : Also be sure to at least consider Quake Wars. From what ive learned the game seems to offer complexity, skill and teamwork.

DMC4 is not going to be a competative game. He's talking about games that are played in tournaments. I dont think DMC4 is multiplayer, but i havent done any research on it or anything.

Why is WoW on there, do they have some sort of competition at blizcon or something? All I remember is WC3 and SC.smokeydabear076

Blizzard added in a new mode in WoW called Arenas. You can make a 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 team and compete for the top spots in the competitive ladder. Blizzard announced that the top 5v5 teams, however, can compete in regionals. Those who win regionals will then go to South Korea for the World Championship. As a result, teams like Team Pandemic are getting corporate sponsors to create top 5v5 teams, thus making WoW a Pro game.

true, but its possible to compete in any game, in some for or fashion..single/multiplayer on/offline anyting with a score and/or time can be used in competion

wish there was a crazy taxi competion,.. i would have ruled that.

Anybody can make a competition out of anything. Hell, I'm sure there were "Kick the can" contests back in the day. The purpose of this thread, however, is to present games in 2007 that will be played professionally, sponsorships and all.

Besides, believe me when I say that competitive Final Fantasy VII is not a huge thing.
